We would like to introduce http://btcsportsbetting.com a new Bitcoin only Sportsbook, Racebook and Casino.

We have been in private beta for the last two weeks and will be taking on players within the next 48 hours.  If you would like an account you can request an invite at http://btcsportsbetting.com/requestinvite.htm.

We are also offering .01 BTC free to anyone who Likes us on Facebook and Follows us on Twitter.  More details on this can be found here, http://www.btcsportsbetting.com/freebtc.htm.

Now for the details on our service from our FAQ.

Who Are We?

We are an online Sportsbook, Racebook and Casino based in San Jose, Costa Rica. We have considerable experience in bookmaking and online gaming.

Why Are You Opening a Bitcoin Sportsbook, Racebook and Casino?

Although not early adopters we see the opportunity that Bitcoins offer to online gaming as incredibly unique and useful. From a legal point of view we feel that gambling with Bitcoins is considered “play” money comparable to Zynga’s online Zynga Poker. (Please see http://btcsportsbetting.com/is-it-legal for more on this) The ability to send Bitcoins securely and unhindered across borders in combination with the use of anonymity programs such as those offered by Tor Project (http://www.torproject.org) means that anyone anywhere can play with us. Simply put Bitcoins may be exactly what online gaming needs.

What Can I Bet On?

In our Sportsbook we take action on all Professional and Collegiate American sports (Football, Basketball, Baseball and Hockey) in addition to MMA, Nascar and Golf. We also take action on various international Soccer leagues and other sports such as Rugby, Tennis and Cycling.

In our Casino we offer over thirty games including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Video Poker and Slots. Basically if the game can be found in a land based casino you can bet on it with us. You can see screenshots of all of the Casino Games we offer here (http://btcsportsbetting.com/casino-games).

We currently only take horse wagers on major stakes races such as the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and the Belmont Stakes but that may change in the future.

What Are The Betting Limits?

The minimum bet in our Sportsbook is 5 dBTC (.5 BTC) and our maximum bet is 500 dBTC (50 BTC). Higher limits can be negotiated.

Our Casino features limits as low as .05 dBTC (.005 BTC) up to 200 dBTC (20 BTC).

Are My Bitcoins Safe?

Definitely. We take security very seriously. Without getting into detail the steps we have taken to protect our Bitcoin wallets are substantial.

If there is one criticism about Bitcoins currently it is the security (or lack thereof) that is included with the Bitcoin client. The security of sending Bitcoins has never been in question, all Bitcoin transactions are done in a secure and anonymous manner, but the security of the wallet.dat file that is stored on your computer and basically holds your Bitcoins in it is another story. Hopefully with the next update of the Bitcoin client wallet encryption will be included. Until then it may be a good idea to read this thread (http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=5194.0) on the bitcoin.org forums about how to create a secure wallet.

Although it is not the most time or cost efficient we have chosen to make it necessary for a human to verify every deposit and withdrawal request prior to being processed. If and when we feel that the security of Bitcoin and the wallet.dat file is satisfactory we will likely make these automated processes.

Can I Call In Wagers?

Yes we do offer phone wagering. If you have an account and would like the option of calling in bets please contact our Client Services to setup a phone password. You will then be given a 1-800 phone number that goes directly to our wagering desk that is staffed 24 hours a day.

What Hours Are You Open?

Wagering is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Customer Service is open from 16:00 UTC to 04:00 UTC daily.

Our Security Department is available 24 hours a day.

Can I Bet Or Get Paid Anything Other Than Bitcoins?

No. BTC Sportsbetting deals exclusively with Bitcoins and the unit we use is the deci-Bitcoin (dBTC or Bitdime) where 1 dBTC is worth 1/10 of a BTC. When you send a BTC deposit we convert it to dBTC units in your account. For example, if you deposit 10 BTC your account will be credited 100 dBTC. All wagers in the Sportsbook, Racebook and Casino are in dBTC.

We want to give everyone a chance to take a look at our software and casino offerings so we set up a guest account that can be used to sign in.

You cannot place wagers or play in the casino but you can poke around a bit if you like.

I am a member, I joined earlier today.  The site is top notch.  I deposited BTC, played some Blackjack, won some BTC, and withdrew my BTC all with zero problems.

I'm in the US, so some other online casinos are closed to me.  This one is open, and it's great.

I think casino and sports betting sites should also act like exchanges.

It's too complicated for new folks to grasp the concept of bitcoin first and get a client up and running when all they wanna do is gamble.

So bitcoin gambling sites should accept USD, EUR, etc to load one's account. The gambling money then must be bitcoin and it can be advertised that bitcoin is "by the way" a new and open digital currency standard and can also be used on other sites and for other purposes. People will surely like that.

This would also bring a whole lot of money into the economy.

I think they would run into legal problems then.  Plus they'd have the same problems as anyone accepting credit card payments for btc, chargebacks/fraud/etc.

I have an invite code for you.  PM me if you want it.

They have a good referral program.  Designed to limit forum spam:

"You are allowed to invite two players per week using your Invite
Code.  Our week goes from Monday-Sunday.

Note that whenever someone uses your Invite code you will receive a
5% referal fee on their first deposit.  For example, if they
deposit 100 dBTC you will receive 5 dBTC.  We reserve the right to
change this promotion at any time.  We do have a zero-tolerence
policy regarding spam and also would prefer that you not advertise
your invite code on things such as your signature on forums."

There are 1000+ real money players on our platform and we have never had a serious security breach.

We have taken additional steps when dealing with Bitcoin, such as the use of SecureForms which are encrypted, to further enhance our security measures.

With betjam closing to USA customers today...a new out is always good...although this site could take all the bitcoins etc...they have no history...perhaps let SBR do a review/audit?

Yes the move of the US players from The Greek to Heritage and the closing of BetJam was an unpleasant surprise.

We would have no problem working with SBR but it is probably a little early in our life-cycle for them to want to get involved.  I can't remember if it was John or Bill but one of them has commented before that Bitcoins were promising so I know they are at the very least aware of Bitcoin.

For the time being all we can do is let our Customer Service and the timeliness of our deposits and withdrawals begin to build our reputation.

BTC Sports Betting's customer service has been great for me so far.  I've had zero problems, and great communication since I became a member.  They stayed late last night night and paid out my withdrawal after hours.

I gamble A LOT on many of the games in the forum's gambling section.  BTC Sports Betting is head and shoulders above all those games.  I am very happy with the site (even tho I am down to them ATM   Tongue )

If you're asking about the invites via the MetaCo.in deal, they'll be sent out sometime in the 24 hour period following the deal close tonight at 11PM EST.  Usually we send them out within an hour of the deal's close, but occasionally it's longer.

I totally agree they need to be quicker with the response to sign ups and invite requests.  In the internet age we expect things like this to happen immediately.

That's my only complaint with them, tho.

We will be processing another batch of invite requests soon.

The maximum amount of players we wanted to initially take on was limited as we didn't want to outpace our ability to process deposits and withdrawals.  We are currently working on making the deposit and withdrawal process automated, which will mean that players will be able to deposit and withdrawal 24/7.

Hi,

I have requested a withdrawal last night and they have not processed it yet.  I have emailed 4 times and no response. The sites says between 16:00 UTC and 4:00 UTC and that is now.

Anyone else had withdrawal difficulties?  The goal of bitcoins is speed and ease...this is not the case here.

I do not think they are going to stiff me but it is slow. I was expecting a bitcoin book to be a bit faster.

Just got my withdrawal and it was a nice chunk. The book also made a nice gesture.  I am liking this book!

I did not realize it was all manual.  Thought it was automatic.  Still this is much better than using a regular offshore book especially for americans.

The feds cannot stop bitcoin and hopefully more people will use this book!

We are trying not just make everyone happy but ultimately do the right thing.

The delay with hi's withdrawal today was that we needed to decide what our policy is on withdrawals when there is a rollover requirement that hasn't been satisfied.

Our decision was that all Bitcoins except for the bonus Bitcoins are available for withdrawal after being in action 1x.  The 1x requirement isn't a change and is our House Rule #28.  If there are is an unsatisfied rollover the bonus Bitcoins will remain in the account to be used to satisfy the rollover.  Once the rollover is satisfied the bonus Bitcoins will be available for withdrawal.

We believe that the above policy is better than what is offered at most sportsbooks.

lol..you are clueless.  I am no shill for any book.  I had a misunderstanding as I thought the withdrawal was automatic.  The book has adequately explained to me what the problem was and they fixed it in a very
generous way.

I love how BTCBook.com Beta calls hi a shill, when he's in here badmouthing and accusing a site that is in competition with his.

Judging from that behavior alone, I'll never use his site.

The site THIS thread is about, however, is a great site.  I've had nothing but fun and good customer service from them.

Hi

Let me re-iterate that this book treated me very well.  My withdrawal came through and there were no problems.  Once they reduce their starting bet from 1/2 BTC or 5 dBtc I will be back.  I just have my BTC spread to thin to put that much into the book right now.  Only having 30-50 BTC in the book with a min bet of 5dBtc = disaster due to variance.  Hopefully they will get this fixed and when they do I will be back gambling daily.

Just to clear it up (and thanks koin above) - BTCSportsBet.com has nothing to do with this, has been up since January (the dark ages of bitcoin) and everyone has been paid consistently with no problems.

So if you want a legit trusted sportsbook that has paid out thousands of BTC, try it out. https://btcsportsbet.com
