So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?

First rule in any investment.. put in what you can afford to lose. You already lost half of it and might lose the other half if you don't sell. But it's also possible to earn them back or even more if you wait.. that is just how investments/currencies work.

Just wait. I' ll wait for example etf on bitcoin or a huge improve of the adoption. This brings liquidity and the market will go up.

I myself have committed comparable errors of FOMO and it just appears like everybody does, similar to it is a vow to turning into a decent broker. So you have committed the cardinal error of FOMOing (dw we as a whole have) now you are in a spot of hodl or offer I would hodl myself since I don't care for offering at misfortunes. Additionally you need to take a gander at whether those coins or not have a shot of escaping the red and to the extent I know those are alright coins and you ought to have the capacity to crawl out of misfortunes. Finally, realize that I am still sack holding two or three alts from a year ago some of which I have had for 10 months now (and don't know when I can dispose of yet will endure it).

All investors have an investment portfolio which in dollar terms now decreased by 2-3 times, but this is not a reason to despair or panic. You have to be patient and hope that the second half of 2018 will be similar the end of 2017, when the price of the cryptocurrency grew every day and the portfolio has increased several times in dollar equivalent.

I think that every investor lost some of his capital during this fall. But we should not be upset. If we want to make good money in the world of crypto currency, then we must learn how to earn money in a falling market.

Believe me you are not the only one who did that fomo. Who did not surprise when bitcoin price spiking last year ? Everyone thought that bitcoin price will increasing more. The lesson we learn is, never buy it when the price is spiking. You just chasing the hype, there is no guarantee that you will be able to sell higher than you buy.

In fact, FOMO was one of the biggest mistakes for many investors. Therefore, one must understand that many faced such a situation. Just need to define a strategy to minimize your risks.

you have to stay calm, because you are not alone .. out there are many people who also lost their profits. You need relax, do not check the price every time, relax.

I think you should hold. I know it's not practical but who know's what will happen in thr next few months. I just kept on buying and accumulating now that the price is low.

you do not need to panic. Now almost all the holders of the crypto currency are in about the same position, as the crypto-currency market has completely fallen in price. Cry Cry Cry

Loosing half of your money is more like a norm in the crypto space when you are new in the market, however relax and take a chill pill in anticipation of a possible bull run if you invested into good and profitable coins, but if otherwise then stay woke and wait for your losses to be recouped after which you will diversify into projects with great future.

Now many investors have the same situation.  And there are two possible options - to keep their altcoins and wait until the market turns around and they grow up.  And the second option is to sell all the coins at a loss.  But I do not recommend this method.  Just have patience..

Though decision Bro! but I appreciate your courage towards that! it's really normal of course at first you've seen that the price increasing so you decided to put up a lot of money, but it's all natural, and part of the process, I better suggest to hold it and wait.

Me too. And you are not alone. The market is so, Go down and then go up. But do not know exactly when. We just need hold and do not panic sell. We have not lost anything when we have not sold it yet.

A friend of mine had similar experience as your, but the amount he invested, was not as much as you did. He invested almost $7000. I could remember, he invested into so many coins, but today, he nearly lost all his investments. He is yet to cash out, because he is still hopeful that something positive will come up.

I'm so sorry that you had to lose some money, it's a painful thing to happen to anyone. If you cannot take it anymore and you are really scared that you might lose more, then you should sell off the remaining coins, so at least you will have something to hold on to. But if you want my sincere advise, You lose some, you win some. This is one of those losses, brace yourself up, get yourself some beer, if you do take that and just relax. The market is going to recover soon, and hopefully, you will make back all that you have lost.

I also lost about a half of my money. But I am still convinced that this is not the time for panic. I truthfully think that the reward of my investment will come soon

Now most people lose their money in the market, so do not worry much, just think how you can invest money in order to make money on the market correction.

We've all been losing our money since the beginning of 2018. In this bad situation, the main thing is not to make mistakes. Many people panicked and started selling their coins. In my opinion, the best solution is to calm down and wait for growth. If you lose your money due to the fall of the rate it is better not to sell your coins.
