Due to it's volatility I don't see BTC being used for small purchases such at the grocery store or for coffee. However I could imagine it being used for large bulk purchases of items such at a Sam's Club/Cosco warehouse level. Where large scale businesses can absorb any drops and use the market to assist in lowering prices of their products at a competitive level.

I have recently written an article about the possibility of Bitcoin becoming currency we will use on daily basis. so now I want to ask the question do you think we will see if it can be used as a daily currency??? or do you think it will be more like gold a good store of value??? My own personal hope is that we will see cryptocurrencies develop into currencies we will use on a daily basis. in my opinion, bitcoin will be a good place to start due to the mainstream knowledge about Bitcoin, but I do not think it's the best-suited kind for daily use and I believe we have a long way to go before it is a viable alternative to Fiat currencies for the majority of people. But personally I don't see cryptos being used as a currency due to its decentralized nature. We live in a strictly centralized world where, if a stock price is moved more than 10% within 15 minutes, the trade of that stock gets suspended by the stock market for half an hour. We call it circuit. I don't know about any other countries, but it happens in India. But 10% price movement is a normal thing in Cryptocurrency market within an hour. So you can imagine the difference. Bitcoin looks good as a store of value but not as a daily currency in any way. Eventually all countries will have to adopt bitcoin but that certainly doesn't mean that it will replace fiat. |

it can happen that digital currency travel all around the world but i think with volatile price of it we can't use it for daily basis we can say it can happen in the future because all are possible and actually i have btc wallet with our own money wallet so it easy to use like buying after we cashout our fiat in wallet so even we can't use in actual mode of payment this digital currency daily still there's a lot of way how to use it. |

I think we used it daily right now, not in the way as a mode of payment for all transactions(just like local transactions) but we do it for trading and buying online. A lot of people doing this right now, it looks like the used of digital currency are now on the way of bringing the entire community to adopt these 3rd world currency and leave fiat money. Though we knew that not all of us are getting on with these due to some barriers and banning of crypto in some countries but I still believing that those people may given chances to have this in their life.

It will still take a while before it will be implemented in a better way. I hope we can wait for that.
Commodity. Yes, for now.
Currency. Yes also. Being used now to buy different crypto currencies. Actually the most used and the best options for ICO company owners.
Next target should be merchants that will sell the good stuff.

No, it is just used now as a store of value, and for trading to make money. It cannot be used in daily life because of confirmation speed etc. It will take time for daily currency usage.
once everything has been fixed and the transfer rate get faster with a much lesser fee or free transfer fee, bitcoin will be the basic currency of everyone all over the world and our daily life will have bitcoin with us. soon once all are okay! That is why i am just holding my bitcoin. |

When everything get interlinked to the digital format, automatically digital currency usage will increase. In this manner bitcoin usage might get used around, but becoming a daily usage currency is not possible. Because, the backing will be reported as the issue. Same if gets backed with some assets it might get termed as a daily usage currency.

Unfortunately, for now it is a big no. Why you ask? Bitcoin's high volatility rate prevents it from serving its main purpose that is to become a currency. I mean it causes the value of bitcoin to rise fluctuate crazily, Which therefore prevejts it to have a stable and unified value. Hopefully in the future bitcoin enthusiasts make a way for thid high volatikity rate to be banished. Whicj will be a great help.

You can use bitcoin as a daily currency right now.
It will become a daily currency for everyone when more people start using it and more shops start accepting it. It will take some years for that to happen.

well, if we think in governments perspective they wouldn`t allow a currency which has not a central and which has a limited supply as well as an open source to be used freely in their states. Just Imagine if everyone would use just one currency and the economy of countries accept it, the one who owns the majority of btc could have the power to manipulate the economy of whichever country he,she wants.

At the current day and age I'm afraid it wouldn't be able to serve the said purpose. The high fluctuation rates in bitcoin's value brought about by the high volatility rate of bitcoin is what prevents bitcoin from becoming a currency. More than that, it has also been a very huge pain in the neck for investors. An hour ago you'll ses bitcoin prospering but give it another and it may drop it's value. Because of the inconvenience and the problems it would bring about suppose bitcoin had been considered currency, it was not able.to serve its purpose.

Maby not but it is us who is laying the groundwork for a possible cryptocurrency future.
It can be as long as you are doing trade or just using it online on which some sites accepted bitcoin as mode of payment. However, in daily basis with an ordinary life I don't think bitcoin can be use as mode of exchange since it requires internet connection and some people are still don't know how to use it. It will take more time for this thing to happen, but still not sure. |

Bitcoin has a chance to become a digital currency for daily use, since since yesterday a new version of Bitcoin 0.16.0 has been released which fully supports SegWit and should completely eliminate all existing shortcomings of bitcoin and this will allow bitcoin to make small household transactions with a short transaction time and small commissions fees.
