Hello everybody,
I'm offering you my sports betting tips for BTC 0.01 per event.
I mostly tip on Golf as it's the sports with the best return (where else have you seen, in the worst case scenario, 20/1 for backing a winner? those bets are each way sure but still, there is great value to be had in golf)
Nonetheless i also deal with the american sports: NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL.
So i can provide sports picks all year long pretty much.
I know sports betting isn't very developped in the bitcoin community but you can definitely go and place those bets either at the bookies in your town or online.

An event can be:
-A golf Tournament (for which you'll get several picks)
-A day of any sports aforementioned (you'll get several team to bet on in different types of bet -over/under, moneyline etc etc)

I am currently offering my services at a small price and I hope you'll be happy and let people know of the good value i'm providing you with.

I encourage you to bet only with money you can afford to lose, and set a bankroll on the side, that you will not mix with your everyday money.
If you need informations about the proper way to bet on sports, I'll be happy to provide you with all the wisdom I gathered over the years (Bankroll management, betting exchange, trading bets, and whatever questions you may have)

I'm also open to any suggestion you may have.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Let's make some money on sports betting.

Didn't know there were guys doing it for free. I'm not pretending to be better or worse than this guy or that guy. I wish them the best of luck.
Thing is, I do spend some time on finding my picks, and i don't feel like I'm being dishonnest by charging a small fee to provide them to people.
As I said golf betting do provide the best returns, compare to any other sports. A season of golf is much better than a season of NFL, MLB, NBA or NHL in terms of returns. 20/1  each way winners comes quite often, 66/1 each way winners are not rare at all, some rare times you even get a 100/1 each way  or a 200/1 each way winner.

For those not savy about sports betting, each way means you bet half of your money on the guy straight out winning the event, the other half with lesser odds on the guy coming in the top  spots of the event. Usually in golf, it is top 6. It depends on the site you're betting.

For example, I bet 1BTC on Golfy McGolferson at 100/1 each way on the BTC Golf Open. There is actually two bets here:
-0.5BTC at 100/1 that G. McGoflerson will win the event.
-0.5BTC at a quarter of 100/1 that G. McGolferson will rank 1st, 2nd, 3rd,4th,5th or 6th in this event. Or to put it simply, i get 0.5 at 25/1 that he places in the top 6 spots.

If McGoflerson PLACES in the event, i get my stake back  (0.5) and on top of that, 0.5BTC*25 = 12.5 BTC for a total return of 13 BTC

If McGolferson WINS the event, i get 13BTC for him placing as calculated above, I also get my other stake back (0.5BTC) plus 0.5 BTC*100 = 50BTC
for a total return of 63.5 BTC.

This is the kind of return you're looking at in golf. Most bets are 66/1 or between 25 and 20/1. Those are still providing decent returns. I've never found bets that were interesting with the same potential returns in any other sports.

I'll throw some intel here on sports betting anyway.

If you really wanna make money consistently by betting sports, you need 2 things:
1- A bankroll dedicated to sports betting (A sum of money that you will not need to do anything else. You want to keep your betting money separated from all other expenses. If you pay your bills with the profits ffrom the Yankees game, stop betting right now, you got more important things to do with your money, and also, you'll never be able to grow a significant BR if you keep nibbling at your winnings)
2- Keep an exact and accurate record of ALL your bets.

1- What you wanna be doing is betting a very small portion of your bankroll on any event. I usually go the 1% route.
That is to say: on each bet you wager 1% of your bankroll. No more, no less. No bet is a lock, someone who tells you "this bet is guarateed to go through" is lying to you. He might not do so with evil intentions, but he is lying to you.
For in sports betting, there is only one thing that is for sure: There is no certainty whatsoever. And this is how the bookies are making money.
That and Parlays. Stay away from teasers, parlay and other accumulator. Returns seems so huge you'll tell me. Well, those bets are the bread and butter of bookies. Ask your friend around, write down the games they're betting as accumulator and write down the odds for every individual game, and the odds for the accumulator itself. Crunch the numbers for a while and you'll see it for yourself.

The great thing about the 1% trick is that you can virtually never go broke. For each bet you win, the 1% is getting a bit bigger. For every bet you lose, it becomes smaller. Say you start with 1BTC as a bankroll. you lay 10 bets  of 0.01on the first day. you win all 10 of them. You now have, to keep the math simple, 1.1 BTC. Your unit is now 1% of 1.1BTC or 0.011. Doesn't seems like much. But in the long run it does add up. And sports betting is all about the long run.

This is why you wanna bet 1% and not 10%. When you bet 1%, you'll have time to find out if you're any good at this as you'll ahve more than 100 bets from your bankroll. If you're not good at this, you can still have a bankroll and have fun betting. No harms in that. If you happened to be good, well that's great, but you might have had a rough start. Losing 10 bets in a row isn't that rare of an occurence. In any sports, you'll have ups and downs. So give yourself time to pull through by being able to negociate rough patches. Bet only 1% of your BR at a time.

2- You do not want to be lying to yourself. In sports betting, and gambling in general, you are your worst enemy and your best friend. So make sure you stay friendly with yourself and track every bets as if your taxman was on you (and he will if you live in a country where gambling profits are taxed. You wanna make sure to pay your taxes, and for this you need a record as accurate as possible, you wouldn't want to be paying too much taxes, would you?)
A simple Xcel spreadsheet will do, a notepad file is good enough too, you can take screencap from your bookies, keep all your dockets from the bookie if you betting in a brick and mortar facility. Whatever the way, just stay honest and organised to track your results.

Whatever the reason you're doing it, be it for making profits, or just for fun, only gamble money you can afford to lose. Do not gamble above your means, even if according to Slimy Samy, "this bet is a lock, put your life savings on it".

Hope that will help some people looking to get into sports betting.

If you want more info on sports betting or gambling in general, feel free to post here. I'll do my best to write content you might find interesting.

I think I'll do a challenge, document my wins and losses, and see who wants to come on board.
It is important to note that I USUALLY will not bet on BTC sportsbook as they currently can't compare to other online bigger houses on most bets I place. However, I'll make sure to include where I'm betting, I indeed advise you strongly to have several location for sports betting so that you can shop for the best odds. If a btc sports book happen to get the best odds, then by all means go ahead and place your bets.
If you want more info on the best places to place your bets, I'll gladly give you more information.

Keep in mind, shopping for odds can be a difference between losing and winning in the long run. You can find odds comparators online by a simple google search. If you need help I'll give you some links.

Sports betting require some investment in time and human ressources if you're willing to make a bit of money. It is not a get rich quick thing. Be prepared.

I'll come back for more details about my plans. If you interested in my services, feel free to PM me and i'll get back to you ASAP.

Glad you like what i posted above, though those aren't really tips, they're more like guidelines that you want to respect if you take sports betting seriously, or at least if you wanna keep control over your betting habits.
Betting can be really adictive and you'd be on the right track if you take control of your betting from the start. Discipline is key to enjoying sports betting, and to some extend to potential success.

This can not be stressed enough: DO NOT BET MONEY YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE.

I've always been eating away at my bankroll, spending the money on vacation or such other little things. Overall I'm up about USD1500 over the last 3 years. I don't bet much on games, just a couple of bucks. My biggest bet was a USD 15 on a rugby game. My first ever bet when i moved abroad to Ireland. My team was up by 2 tries at half time and i still found myself sweating :-) I've always started with a small BR and wroking my way up.
Then i heard someone say: if you're good at something, don't do it for free. So hear i am :-)

I'll be shopping around on the BTC bookies, see what it's like really. Though i think there is some time before I switch my actions from the regular bookies i play at.

Also to get the ball started, i'll send a selection of picks to the first 5 person willing to try my tips for free. You won't have to bet them, i'll keep track of the results and you can vouch for the fact that i sent the bets before the game took place :-) So that I can get a good reputation around the forum. Free picks will start on teh 1st of October and stop on the 15th of October. that should give a good feel for what i'm at.

If you interested i also posted an ad for Poker 101 tuition :-) Similar offer applies. Free for a bit so people can vouch for my knowledge about the game.

EDIT: Wagas, as you ask straight away, you'll be receiving my tips via PM. I'll be starting this week most likely. I do hav a few things running this week outside of the interweb but i'll make sure to take the time to send the picks to whoever ask them. First come, first served obviously.

Hello guys,
As mentionned in previous post i'll send my picks to a couple of guys to build a reputation around here.
I haven't looked yet but i was wondering if there is a betting exchange for bitcoins? If anyone of you knows about this, i'd be interesting to have a look at it/them.
I'll be checking games and whatnot, and update my page in a couple of hours.
Good luck if you're betting anything today.

Edit: After a quick look around i havn't spotted any value for today. Soccer is not my field of betting quite yet though i'm still working on it.
First picks will probably be realesed for the NFL day on the 3rd. In any case, i was planning to give away 15 days worth of tips and if i only starts on the 3rd i'll stop giving tips away on the 18th. That's the only thing to do really.

I don't know where you're betting on, but I have been using bitbook.biz, and they are pretty good. They have about the same, sometimes better than Bodog.eu.

Yeah, I'm on Bitbook as well and I'm really enjoying their service. Anyways, back to the topic, I'm going to follow it and see how his picks turn out, if their good I might consider going with him.

Yeah, I don't have a big enough bankroll to justify paying for sports picks, but maybe if I have a sudden influx of bitcoin.

The main issue i have with sports book in the Bitcoin community is that there is no golf in any of them (for those i've seen anyway, i might have missed the one where the golf is actually available)
Other than that what i've seen is pretty good, as usual for the gambling part of the bitcoin industry, they're able to get lower juice or fees of any kind.
For eample, poker sites are all under the industry standard in term of rakes which is a great thing.
Hopefully i'll find myself a nice house to place my bets.
I'm keeping an eye on the market available in bitcoins anyway. that's still usefull for NFL, NHL (which will be handled after the first few days of the league in order to get a feel of who's up to what), MLB and NBA.

Hoping to make some decent bucks this year as i'm going to be betting seriously and not spend my winnings away.

Edit: Also the best tip i ever got to get yourself to a small fortune? Start with a big one.

Winning in sports is not easy friend. So just it matters  of luck and placing.

If you are offering picks at paid, you must also make sure that you provide the 90% chance winnings. Like picks on 20/1 is tough to win.

I am gambling since 2008. So i know much better. But remember anything can happen with gambling until the last minute.

Anyways, i will wish you good luck in your sports betting. Lets Make some money in Gambling Smiley
