I think it depends on a number of things but one I have noticed consistently is a wireless LAN link is usually up to 16
but a hard wired LAN (Same network dhcp hub firewall etc) get up to 63 (that I've noticed)

You can use the start up switch -maxconnections=100 or put it in your config maxconnections=100

block explorer at blockx is not current, can someone have it caught up?  I have 64 connections at the moment.

And also a question, if I have PoS orphans in my wallet file, what happens to them, do the coins stake again, or I just lose the reward on these?  Anyway to remove these from the wallet list, or it will clean them up later?

Unick controls blockx, he is out right now. We have another at http://162.217.249.198:1080/chain/Hobonickels curtsy of Ghostlander

PoS orphans retry themselves, no coin days are lost, and when they do stake you get an increased reward.

Use the menu options wallet->repair wallet. It can take a min or so if there are a lot of transactions, so be patient.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think they compliment each other. They both have different strengths and weaknesses. But I am interested in other people's opinion as well..

I think these cryptos serve as a way to hold, like a savings account. The coins with solid networks and that are secure and have stable price will be the ones that last (both I think are capable, HBN being a bit more solidified). This allows bitcoins to flourish in the real world everyday while HBN and CAP serve as ways for people to hold without having much worry, with nice interest.

I would like to see HBN on Mintpal. Cryptsy is ofte a bit slow on deposits and withdrawals. I never had this long delays on Mintpal. I dont care about volume or anything I would just like to have an solid alternative to cryptsy, thats all.

looks bad, the good thing is that they took credit card payments, so in the very least, if you paid by CC, you can claim the money back from your CC company.

4 weeks? I take credit cards in my businesses, and I could knock up a web processor in a matter of minutes if needed.
