The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Thanks Tranz it worked great. I am using your beta wallet as well seems to be working well so far. Accept that the wallet seems to fall behind after syncing. I tried to send some coin to you but the address I sent it to was not correct somehow. F1TranzWqFGZyFeTMu6iLbtTQgdXuJPsiL

I have not had a wallet fall behind after getting up to speed. If you click on the info menu, it does freeze main until you click ok, so that could cause it to fall behind a bit, if you leave it on for a while. But other then that I am not sure. Do you have a space in front of the address? That could make it invalid, otherwise should be good.

If you put a space in the label part it causes a crash when trying to send coin. That is why it would not send. You should be getting some coin soon.
Figured out why the wallet was losing sync. One of the other files not the wallet and not the block chain was in some way corrupt or improper. I replaced them with a back up of some other golden files and that fixed the problem with the wallet losing the sync. Now it is time to backup the golden working files before I have another thunderstorm show up.

A space in the label is valid and won't cause a crash. As you noted one of the other wallets you had loaded caused a crash, not the space. Glad you got it sorted. I play with HBN on a daily basis, doing things even most power users wouldn't do. Yet in 1+ years I have yet to corrupt a wallet. I guess I'll have to try harder! Oh and thank you for the 50 HBN. I am actually really liking the Block Browser. I just right clicked on a received transaction and "show in block browser" and I get to see all the addresses it came from, the fees paid, the difficulty and hash rate.. Click, Click download boom! Tranz you better run before you are officially linked as being satoshi!! Hehe. I hope not, he just got hacked!

Hey Tranz, looking forward to trying out HBN 1.5 beta, will give it a go next week.
I was wondering, and vaguely recall reading some mention of a hard fork coming when 1.5 is finished. Is this still planned/ accurate?
I haven't gone through a hard fork yet with any coins I use. Is there anything to concerned about it (i.e any chance of losing coins?) or is it pretty safe except for those people that are using really older clients ?
Thanks for your continued work on this great coin.

Thanks Glendall, always good to hear from you. Please let me know your thoughts on the beta 2. Regrading the hard fork, yes it will be part of the final 1.5 version. As with all hard forks, any coins you have pre-fork are safe and shouldn't be lost. The worst thing that can happen is a side chain can form with clients who didn't update in time. Their old coins again would be safe, but new coins, PoW or PoS mined, would not be valid on the correct fork, once they got back on the right chain. Most of this will be mitigated with alerts being sent to old versions well in advance, and the the automated block checkpoints being issued. But there is likely to be some chaos. Hopefully it is minor..

Hi Tranz, do you have any best guess what date the eventual hard fork will be?

"5) Add a max stake value of 500 coins."
Does this mean that holding blocks of more than 500 coins will not generate bigger stake?

NO, you get it wrong. This is MAX reward for a POS block. So if you have blocks < 20k HBN you should be fine.
