How do i do this in OSX?
Code:
$ java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Nxt : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClassCond(ClassLoader.java:637)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:621)
at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:141)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:283)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$000(URLClassLoader.java:58)
at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:197)
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:190)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306)
at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:301)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:247)

The only solution is to install Java 7.

I did recall my correct secret phrase, still 0 coins and a new address. Sad

If the address is new then the phrase is not the same.

I don't get how that's possible as my password was created literally 5 minutes ago, before my CPU restarted i'm 100% sure my password is being re-entered correctly, any ideas?

What happens to my coins if the other branch win?

I see what the problem is. After u adjusted computer time u downloaded our branch. But then ur time jumped again and now u with 2 other guys are mining 2nd branch with incorrect timezone. We'll never meet unless u change ur time again.
I send again (100Nxt) - am I in the correct branch?

I have java 7 installed, but maybe it is not aliased to 'java' at the console. i will look into this. thanks.

Can you tell me, do i need to have coins in my unlocked account to mine? or just having an unlocked account means it is mining?

let me ask the stakeholders here again, dou you really intend to start adoption
with this buggy client currently?

don't take me wrong here, i am impressed by the theoretical potential of nxt
and i am a stakeholder too but we need 100 x more energy to get a unsatisfied user
back compared to guide him to the client.

sorry, if my english is not sufficient to transport my logic in full but english
is not my first language (well, it's not even my second)

so please, any thought's on this?

Address generation algo is completely deterministic. Maybe u pressed SPACE button, or CAPS LOCK, or something else.

EDIT: somehow I typed my password extremely fast and it worked so maybe i did mistype lol guess i got lucky, is there a way I can generate a new password while logged in or just remake a new account?

I'm probably not at home when the 1440 block is found. Will the client start mining after the 1440 block, when i start it a few hours before?

Am I right in thinking that the processor isn't important for mining nxt? Is there a difference in mining with an i7 or can i start the client on my notebook?

Technically even 0 balance can mine blocks, but chance to find a block == 0.

It will start mining after 1440th block if u leave it unlocked.
CPU doesn't matter.

Ok, can anyone help, i'm super confused.  I've got it installed now (needed JDK not JRE!).  I have it running locally, i have created an account with a secret phrase.  So am i mining now?  Do i need to do anything else? do i have to own coins to mine?
