Bill Gates did said something about cryptocurrency that we can't accept but you are basing your point on what happened oppositely. Whether Bill Gates will say something about bitcoin or crypto's again, I'm very optimistic on it. He's like the first ones who said FUD about bitcoin so look at the impact now, price is moving up.

You never trust a single party when evaluating your investments. I've had multiple trustworthy friends that told me that BTC is a ponzi, I researched and I found it absurd. They missed out on profits by going with the popular opinion. If you don't realize this, you will too.
That's why it's better to do your own research before jumping to conclusion because you'll never what's true if you don't do anything. Some are to just misleading people so they can benefited to it later on and that's why FUDing was born. And whatever these known people will say it's all up to us whether to believe it or just let it pass to our ears. The one who'll easily believe to them without doing nothing will be regretful sooner.

Whatever he has to say about new technologies, do the exact opposite and you'll do great. Especially in the long term as he absolute isn't a guy with a vision. Never was an admirer of him or his company. That guy is just another tech monopolist who wants to control and rule over others.

I wonder how much death, rape, abuse and horror Windows has enabled over the years. Probably rather a lot of it. Does it mean Windows is evil? It probably is but for reasons other than that.
Bill's fortune is in dollars, his trade was creating and controlling markets, his calling is to cure the world.
All of those things point to a fondness for paternalism which is the antithesis of what BTC is about.

I exactly don't know where did he try to FUD about Bitcoins? Can anyone please provide me a source to check for the same? I can't believe that someone who was once in favor of this technology, would do it. But if he did, all he's trying to do is to tingle the markets by jingling the heads of the common man making him think a thousand times before buying this - to stop the circulation of fiat into cryptocurrencies. I believe that this guy might be scared enough to see something that's gradually gaining too much value overnight as well as their capitalization. If he want, he can juggle the whole world with the tap of his finger (and you know why). This is our community, and our commitment to Bitcoins. Do you guys really think that anyone, I mean even Bill Gates, should be given that authority to turn the tables for Crypto by playing with our minds and making us change our decisions? Aren't we concerned about Bitcoins? Will him or anyone change our perspective towards Bitcoins?

Bill gates is not my authority. He certainly has a lot of money but it happened by accident. Microsoft remains a leader in the software market only because it uses a monopoly position. He has repeatedly been fined for this by the Antimonopoly Committee. I don't see the manifestation of his personal intellectual. Why should I listen to his opinion?

Back then he said something like that Bitcoin have a great future and we must accelerate the Bitcoin revolution and acceptance. Don't listed Gurus and Bankers. Listen your common sense and learn from your mistakes. Yes true that it takes me back to 2015 when he said, "Bitcoin is better than currency in that you don't have to be physically in the same place and, of course, for large transactions, currency can get pretty inconvenient." (Source: https://www.cnbc.com ) Also having said, "We need things that draw on the revolution of bitcoin, but bitcoin alone is not good enough." (Source: https://www.cnbc.com ) Gates kept his track clear. So yea its worthwhile to listen to such opinions but at the same time one must try to make out the decisions rationally after due consideration of all the surrounding factors.

Gates is not an expert investor, you can't really rely on him in those matters. There are many things that he's afraid of and that he doesn't understand. He's not even running his own company anymore, just focusing on life in luxury. At least he's not anti-bitcoin. He likes it, but from what he's saying you can see that he's not a libertarian. He loves that bubble that he's living in, where he's just a puppet that makes money for the state.

No, but I don't think that anybody is giving him this authority. He's expressing personal opinion and it's not his fault some people are putting him on a pedestal.

Lol. The Bill Gates starts to attack bitcoin. Coincidence? Or are they just trying to pull the price down so that they can buy at cheap price just like we always wanted. But the thing is that this two has billions of dollars that they can burn. And a pullback will get them in a better opportunity to buy at a discount and stash it in their wallet and accumulate overtime. But I'm pretty disappointed with Bill Gates though, how does a titan like him doesn't appreciate what bitcoin can bring to the people? I thought he is anti-poor, but attacking bitcoin doesn't look good at his image in my opinion. Wozniak lost like 7 bitcoins... I saw it on the news. Guy has a network of probably hundreds of millions, he will be allright. The irony is that the very rich who get into bitcoin usually don't put as much effort into securing their coins as any of us mortals would do if we had 7 bitcoins. We would treat 7 bitcoins as radioactive material, that is put into cold storage and properly secured. For them 7 bitcoins is a joke. Anyway, he said that he is now more interested in "blockchain technology" than bitcoin. What a moron. No wonder he lost his coins.

No wonder he lost his coins. to be clear he didn't lose his 7 bitcoin because of not securing it or not using cold storage. instead he lost it when selling his coins to someone using reversible fiat methods. i believe it was a stolen credit card situation where the bank reversed the transaction after the trade was done and he gave his bitcoin to receive the stolen money. so if anything that is the fault of banking system!

However like you have said now provides the best time for any one that is interested in investing into cryptocurrencies and bitcoin to put in money as in years to come bitcoin will be out of reach of the common man! I read a news Bill Gates said that the anonymous nature of blockchain technology as the basis of cryptocurrency could have a very bad impact. it could happen, and it will have a bad impact going forward, but that's not certain, all can be different

Gates is not trying to buy bitcoin, he is already rich beyond belief. I think he is genuinely trying to FUD because he believes that Bitcoin will fail. I can't count the times where someone famous and 'knowledgeable' was trying to discredit cryptocurrency. Honestly, people linked to old establishment are not reliable source of facts about Bitcoin.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates has not talked much about the matter lately, but he has expressed a positive opinion in the past. "Bitcoin is very interesting because it shows how cheap it is," said billionaire Bill Gates

"Bitcoin is very interesting because it shows how cheap it is," said billionaire Bill Gates He lost his mind from all that money he have, first he say one thing, after he say something completely different, he is rich and he can, but fools are the ones who trust him. Even that quoted sentence doesn't mean much, bitcoin is interesting cause it shows how cheap it is, from all the good sides that bitcoin have he pointed that out? What a stupidity, from a man on that position I expect much more. Crypto is something unique, in past few years many very rich people, in news presented as intellectuals, smarter and better then others showed their true faces! All this rich people are pigs, they are not smart and good, they just trying to keep this system running while they enjoy, well that's why I like blockchain even more, equality can be achieved with blockchain, and just blockchain can make this world a better place for all of us, this pigs in power would like everything to stay the same, but that is impossible, revolution is here.

You may think that he completely changed his stance, but that's not the case. I think from all the traditional billionaire farts, Bill Gates is probably the mildest one when it comes to Bitcoin. People shouldn't just pay attention to whatever news articles twisting words to make them either look positive, or negative. He acknowledged the usefulness nature of cryptos, but he also has it doubts, which he has been open about lately. People may not like his wording (I don't like it either), but it's his opinion and pretty understandable from his position. Crypto will at some point create a new elite of insanely wealthy individuals, where I strongly believe that eventually, they will take over the traditional billionaires by wealth, and this new elite will have a completely different way of thinking.

Precisely, don’t depend on any speculation coming from people like Bill Gates who said negative things about cryptocurrency before. He’s losing his mind because of too much money he own so better to make your own study about bitcoin, because in the first place its worth buying for.

Thanks for giving me the exact source, I'm now satisfied with what he said. He's concerned for the good of both sides, be it this technology or people. He just doesn't want this tech to be exploited and go to dark, but I believe that all he wants is a proper bitcoin that stops being used in the "dark" deeds. Do you guys really think that anyone, I mean even Bill Gates, should be given that authority to turn the tables for Crypto by playing with our minds and making us change our decisions? Aren't we concerned about Bitcoins? Will him or anyone change our perspective towards Bitcoins?
No, but I don't think that anybody is giving him this authority. He's expressing personal opinion and it's not his fault some people are putting him on a pedestal. I'm sorry I was drawn away by watching the OP that said it in a very negative way (just like media). We should watch out, clarify and stop what's happening on the wrong end in order to have our dreams succeed by watching Bitcoins growing back higher. Looks like saying for the betterment of people proved to be a foot-in-mouth situation for Bill Gates. We're not bound by what anybody thinks, we should do our own research before investing. It was his opinion and is now appreciated by my end.

"It's easy to criticize something that you don't fully understand".
Bill Gates statement about anonymity on Bitcoin technology just proved that he doesn’t really understand what is really happening today. Anonymity on Bitcoin was not there anymore since we are required to reveal our true identity thru KYC from our exchange platform to convert Bitcoin into Fiat.
Everyone has their own right to give their opinion. We also have the right if we will accept their opinion or not. As for me, I have decided to reject negative thoughts and look forward to what Bitcoin's has to offer.

"It's easy to criticize something that you don't fully understand".
That's a fact just like Warren Buffett and other economists and financial experts who are FUDDING about bitcoin. I thought before that BG is telling us that bitcoin is something that is going to grow in the future but it seems that he changed and now going into sideways with bitcoin. Everyone has their own right to give their opinion.
But sometimes that freedom is becoming the tool of those that wants to take the advantage of getting into something.
