The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Good day, Folks.
I just became a junior member but I don't know how to post images. Please help.

You simply use the following command with a direct link to a .jpg image. Like this, https://bitcointalk.org/useravatars/avatar_877396.jpg

Code:
 [ img ] [ /img ]
, however it might have been disabled for Jr members due to abuse, in which case you will need to buy the Copper Membership package, which can be found here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

Hello.
When I followed the direction above, the message didn't appear. Instead. I got a return message that stated: Bitcointalk.org image proxy invalid image.

Could you link me the post in which it said that you posted an invalid image ( or invalid link to an image), it could either be you messing up, or it could be that using [{img}] is simply disabled for both Newbies &&  Jr. Members, although i always thought it was only restricted for newbies..

I've quoted your post and scanned it for "img" tags but i couldn't find any.

Are you sure you added an image to your post? It really doesn't seem to be the case..
Also, you were able to quote my picture just fine, so you were probably doing something wrong on your side.

I see what the problem is now. You are trying to link images that are hosted locally on your PC.

http://file:///storage/emulated/0/Download/tokyo-3131978_1920.jpg is not a website or something bitcointalk can fetch data from.

You'll need to upload your image to something like Imgur, and then use that link instead of http://file:///

You did use the tags correctly, so no issue there.

Thanks. It finally worked when  I used imgur as you suggested.

Just one question: is their a required pixel size for images posted on threads?

I don't think so, i am able to post 1x1 pixel images just fine. See above^^

There might be a maximum size though, as i don't think 5000x5000 resolution images would be a very good idea. (Due to the internet speed of some users and the already slow loading images..)

You need to have a link with pictures from other websites. Because bitcointalk does not allow posting images directly to the forum
