I'm unclear why chart-buddy was banned in the first place. Was he trolling? Phin is allowed to get 16,000 posts and chart-buddy is banned! I thought the whole concept behind the ignore feature was individual choice without censorship? I had chart-buddy on ignore. It's my choice to take the info or not. What's next, banning gribble on IRC? Stupidity.

Chartbuddy is our friend, and he's been a loyal contributor to the thread for a long time.  Down with censorship!

This account has recently been hacked and taken over, I haven't posted anything for about two years.  Whoever has been using it and pretending to be me is a scammer.

Some opinion as QuestionAuthority above, i think chartbuddy was annoying. Although a lot of people thought he was helpful, so yes he should be allowed to post here. If you don't like him just ignore.

I had chart buddy on ignore too. I voted "no" to this poll because I think chart buddy should have it's own thread. This thread would pop to the top of the subject list once an hour so it would be easy to find if you were interested

Must admit that I used to hate chartbuddy, but even on ignore he pushes the thread to the top which is quite annoying. When it changed to posting a sensibly sized image, took it off ignore tbh.

Each user should have his/her own thread in which there is hourly automated posting of whatever nonsense they feel is pertinent. Preferably each automated post would be overly large images or vast walls of text.

I used to day trade Bitcoin successfully. Then I took an arrow to the knee.

+1 for ChartBuddy.

I find his charts especially useful to catch up on major movements I may have missed due to sleeping or being too busy.

I've even saved a few memorable ones.

IMO CB should post every 3-6 hours, not every hour. Or maybe he could post more frequently when the volatility is high and stop pestering us when the market is boring.

I would vote for a better ignore feature that actually completely removes the existance of the annoying posts. Also ChartBuddy should just get his own site to show results rather than to spam another thread. Or maybe start his own thread. It is not a good contribution to the thread it was posting in. I could write a bot that posts all kind of BS there, justifying it as hey, that's charts.

I picked "no" but would pick "yes" if the ignore button would work. And I didn't even have chartbuddy on ignore as it is as easy to skip it with the picture as without. The "there's a message" clutter remains after ignoring stuff.

The thread is titled "wall observer". What is more fit than a chart of walls over time?

No you couldn't write a bot that posts BS here and justify it by calling it charts. The content of the charts has to match the topic of the thread.

if(last_post.from == chart buddy || last_page.number_of_posts_from_chartbuddy > 2) { i'm chartbuddy and i decided not to spam anymore. }

It's really that simple...

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

It's just that there are many chart visualizations out there that could all flood the thread. how about a bitcoinityOrgBuddy and a bitcoinSipaBeBuddy all posting every 20 minutes? These guys share their data with us via servers that some of us consider worth being copied to the thread. The recent weeks were particularly boring also in ChartBuddy.
Yeah, I hate "censorship" but I appreciate information and having this precedent could invite others to make some ChartBuddy.Bitstamp and a ChartBuddyMtGoxEUR and a …
What is it good for to have automated posting in the most busy thread of the forum when the ignore button only works as a "make it a little smaller" button?

In my opinion, it could be annoying to people who browse the thread (even when ignored).

I think ChartBuddy should post in its own separate thread.
