Well, he didn't say he was solo mining Wink

Based on what's said so far (original poster mentioned shares so sounds like mining pool), I don't think anybody's soloing here Cheesy

Well technically he did mention it here: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=30468.msg382590#msg382590 However he did say he had joined a pool - so that makes sense and is really the only way to go given his mhash figure.

But more to the point (which you missed) I was actually directing the comment to the person who talked about solo mining (user: swordv2). With such a low mhash figure, its silly to even contemplate solo mining so thats why I suggested HE (swordv2) spend some time reading and getting to know bitcoin so he wont make such a statement in future! lol

ok so i have been mining for about 2 hours, and i have so far gained around 40 shares which is worth about 0.001250808586597 btc or aproximately 0.27 dollars, lol not bad for sitting around clicking a few buttons
At such low hash rates, you should be better off joining another pool like BTC Guild and donating 2.5% of any earnings so you can withdraw even very low amounts if necessary.

Or join BitMinter and we will pay you 5% extra (until we reach 60 blocks) instead of you donating 2.5%. We also pay out with full 8 decimal places.

on slower machines, i would personally go for some pay per share pools.
you get guarenteed amounts.
