I would agree with giarised. Both sides of Bitcoin are important. There always should be a high time for buying crypto and selling it. That's the point of trading in general I think.

I personally prefer volatility although it has a lot of risk because the value of pump and dump will be quite far away, this value will make us easy to decide whether to buy or sell, stable increase will only cause boring market. The higher the votality, the higher the risk, but that is the investment principle, we must be ready to face the risks.

Bitcoin- in bullish time

I wanted to see what the general thoughts of the community here are. With bitcoin being in a pretty steady state for the past few weeks, it seems like there's going to be a set up for some kind of growth. With that, there can be many paths, but after seeing today's price (which was up around 5% when I checked), I was wondering if the volatility is what people actually like about bitcoin.

So, do you guys like the volatility and the strong spikes upwards or would you rather like steady growth, around 5% gains over time?
Both of them are good and I would like to be seeing the both of them happen. When the price is going up steady just like it has done for more than a decade now by going from $0 to the current price of $6k – $7k, with an all time high price of $19k, it means that we are progressing and that lots of people are joining the community. As for the upward spike, I would say that is important cause that’s the only way to make money quick through HODLing.
There is no thing as both in bitcoin in terms of growing because the steady growth of bitcoin is far way better than a strong upward spikes because the spikes in bitcoin means manipulation, hype or just FOMO or fear of missing out so it is better to have a steady growth to prove that it is a good cryptocurrency with a stable development.

Steady growth is the best for me but it is not good also to investors.
Investors will earn from up and down of price therefore if the price of bitcoin will grow steadily, they don't need to buy and sell instead they will hold their bitcoin until they will decide to sell for their satisfactory price.

For bitcoin and for crypto currency in general it was. it would be very good if bitcoin grew slowly, without sharp price fluctuations. We already clearly see what led to the price surge of bitcoin in December last year. Already the eighth month of the crypto currency can not come to normal mode from such a price spike.
At the same time, after the December price surge, the process of legalizing crypto-currency by states that saw a financial bubble in Bitcoin slowed. Also, the high volatility of bitcoin is called one of the reasons why it can not be recognized as a means of payment.

If we study about the behavior of the bitcoin in terms of the market value of bitcoin since last few years, then we will get to know that the market value of bitcoin was never static and that it always kept on changing with time. However, it is more profitable for the investors to see ups and downs as this will then help them in buying the coins at cheaper rates and then selling them at higher rates.

For me, I would rather prefer steady growth slowly recovering until it reach a high price than going fast upward because you can see how it recovers how it develop and this will attract more investors because they can see it's market going high slowly but surely.

i would prefer a steady growth of bitcoin.
But this will make people just hold the tokens and the movement will suffer.
Unlike in a spike growth the price of moon will give the people to buy more and once fall there will be a sell off and a buy again at low.
this will keep bitcoin moving.

If a person trades, then he needs volatility. Of a long-term investor, then a steady growth

I think although upward spikes are great for fast big earning, most reasonable people would choose the steady growth, because money you earn from spikes can't be a regular thing, and also it's really bad for the crypto development.

Steady growth makes investor long term more comfort. But most people must want make quick profits and strong upward spike. Crypto market cap still undervalue and i think we will see strong upward in near future

Steady growth is better cause from the first place bitcoin is for transaction and we invest in cause we trust the blockchain technology will be use in our transaction in future, sudden spike only bring good thing for some people and bad thing for someone who bought it at high prices, steady growth is absolutely better than sudden spike.

Same here i also prefer steady growth as im only depending on the higher price of cryptos for me to earn a good profit .

If price were steady , i think we can expect a higher pumped because many people will constantly enter the crypto market if they see a stable growth .

Cryptos can now be an investment tool more than a trading tool but we people can now enjoy our crypto to use for online transactiona like for paying or buying things because we know that we get the correct value for our money .

I think it depends on what kind of holder you are. I'm trader and long term holder as well and I'm torn between bitcoin volatility and steady growth. As trader I prefer a lot of swing every now and then. The swing uphigh this week and the downward movement by end of week but this keeps a lot of people afraid of bitcoin and this will not make adoption easily. As long term holder, a steady growth makes me want to bag every payday and with steady growth, it will be easier to use bitcoin for payment and this will be a huge advantage for crypto market.

Reality is the only thing that is real.

While others desire for steady growth which is more advantageous for everyone specially investor and is also good but we can't deny the fact that it would also be good to spike it while in a while for a better profit , but whatever the case maybe Iill to which make me profitable.

It's actually not bad either for stable growth and it's very safe if you invest in these conditions, but I tend to prefer big jumps because it's more profitable for trade and if it's stable it doesn't always go up I mean there is definitely a decline this only makes a profit small but indeed safe for investment. Because the market conditions are different, what I do is to follow the market conditions and adapt to these conditions to make a profit.

Of course, it seems much more positive for the global environment of bitcoin a steady growth, because the high volatility that has characterized it so far has been one of the main arguments against its massive adoption. No person with enough common sense would be willing to sell something of great value as a car or a house for bitcoins, knowing that in the following days his fortune could disappear by 50% or more.

I'm sure everyone will definitely see or want steady growth but in the crypto market I don't think it's possible, even though growth can run fast and steady growth for several weeks to months, but correction will always be there when bitcoin prices are moving upwards. So volatility will definitely continue and I am not sure there will be steady growth in the crypto market. Because the assumption of "steady " is growth which does not contain volatility in it and he will be consistent to increase.

I'd stick with a slow and steady increase in the price of crypto currency rather than a huge spike and huge or a sustained dip throughout the financial year. Also, a slow inctease means a more stable and strong coin than a volatile coin. I just hope we can finally see Bitcoin or any crypto currency be adopted soon.
