I was really active in this forum a while ago and its already been a month. A curiousity just came up to my mind because of the repeating threads here in some sections, that's why I just wanna know if Theymos together with the other admins and moderators, are they still here? Are they that really busy on some other things Or they're just hanging around with us through some alt accounts and secretly watching us. But if thats the case what will happen to those repeated posts that we want to be deleted?  Isnt there any necessary thing that we can do except on clicking the "Report to the Moderator" button?

I think theres a word for that "patience", not everything in this forum is automatic. You are not the only ones reporting such thread/post.

I didn't want to point it as the way you are thinking, its just that they are the ones who are really old here in the forum that's why i said "especially"... and it doesnt really mean that your opinion will be ignore...

Of course they are here. Theymos and Hilarous and other global and local mods are very active. Haven't your heard a new system was in place by Theymos to curb out shitposting here:

Hundreds of shitty post are made every minute and its really hard for the mods to cope up. Well I'm trying to do my fair share here:

Of course they are here. Most of us like to associate the activeness of a member based on the number of posts he is making currently. Just because they are not posting as much posts as other member, it does not mean that they are on some vacation.

Admin has to look after a number of aspects related to the forum. And we should not forget that there is a lot of work involved in making changes to the forum. For instance, to implement the merit system on the forum (which must have required a lot of planning and work), he must have worked really hard.

Its clear that theymos and mods don't have their accounts open 24/7 because they are humans after all and they have lives too you know,  but when they are active they do their jobs right by deleting spammy threads and off topic posts, and if they miss something, ( which they do) you can't blame them because i can't imagine the struggle of managing billions and billions of topics, they will eventually notice it, and if they don't than its our job as members to report it, we are responsible as much as they are on keeping the forum clean.

Yes they are still here. The recently implemented merit system is one of their ways to "clean up" the forum. However I think it's hard to filter all those repeating topics. As a user let's donour share and refrain from posting topics that yiu have been read already in this forum. Let's all make this forum a knowledge-base for cryptocurrency.

Yes they are still here. I had a post deleted when I pointed out to a new member that necro-bumps with valueless posts are not good for the forum. I don't really understand the moderation policy, it seems that many valueless posts and threads are still allowed to clog the boards.

I backed away from hunting through the threads for meritable posts as a result of this - it was taking up quite a lot of my time. When the new moderation policy becomes clear, I'll have another go.

It's not a discrimination if you notice that so obvious its a calling for all merit sources. Sr. members above are all abundants of sMerits. Unlike we Full members had a shortage of supply of sMerits since day 1.

There is nothing we can do about it admins and moderators are always busy instead of reporting you can easily ignore the topic if its hard for you to read it. Our leaders here aren't robots they also need rest and most of all peace of mind.

What if a person just came to know about this forum and decided to buy a SR,Hero or Legendary account. Does the person controlling the account make him/her "old" in this forum?

Of course there here and busy. For all people, we members should act on helping our mods & admins to clean up the forum. It is given that many posters are repeatedly posting same question. Its the moderators duty to delete unwanted topics but also, we are not noticing that every topics are being repeated day by day. These are lazy people that are not using the search botton before posting a topic that contributes spamming our threads.

Of course, they are still active on the forum, and their hard work is visible everyday. But just take a look at how many topics are being published every hour here. This is an impossible work just to make an instantaneous revision of all them. That takes some time, and this is not an easy cake.
The forum has become something huge. Everybody wants to be a part of it now, and they are just doing their best.
In order to help moderators to keep clean the forum, if you see too much-repeated topics, then just point it up by giving the people the other similar threads to read in the answer, and also report it, so they can see them easily.
I believe this is a responsibility for all to keep clean the forum.

Looking into the Mining Hardware section and pretty much all of the Bitcoin Mining subforums, I can tell you everything is smoothly running and spam/misplaced posts and threads are actively being removed. If something truly does not belong and you report it the post, it will bemoved in time. The mods aren’t as active in certain subforums, but to be fair there’s thousands of posts to filter through in those subforums (BTC/Alt discussion).

Our moderator in our local talk about it that we must report all the repeated posts because sometimes it can be a spam since creating topics with the same content makes the section worst. It can be deleted if the post is already a topic in other threads. Admins and moderators in this forum are active, they are busy in other things too. They are big time people and doing their best to make our forum the best of all.

This is from day one, when the Merit System was implemented: Hero/Legendary Members received roughly 150~200 sMerits; Sr. Members received roughly 50~100 sMerits. Or even less than that.

Ignorance is a bad thing mate. How can a community such as this improve if people like you would just ignore such significant matter. I know its the admin's, moderator's, and other personnel's job to exterminate spams and regulate the threads of each section, which they did. But as members of this community we are partly also responsible for this actions and therefore might we, also contribute.

Yes they are still here. Actually they are very active since the new system was implemented. They provide answers along with everyone for clarifications and I can see that they are making sure that the forum goes smoothly and they are doing their jobs professionally.
If you could find yourself wandering around maybe you can see posts made by our mods. Those are proofs that even though they are busy, they are really concerned about the forum.

What if all of us do thesame just like you said. We are all reporters now and it seems that the message folders of moderators would be flooded of reports. We are just making it hard for them to clean all of that mess. DT members are the only one responsible for those spammers and they will be tagged immediately for that.
