The Silk Road bust was brilliant, shutting down a site full of criminal degenerates and using all the gathered intel to bust more criminals. Now with that there will be improvement to shut down each and every criminal enterprise related to bitcoin and keep it pure, unused by scumbags that belong in prison.

that would crumble down our price, remember that demand skyrockets our beloved bitcoin and when silk road got launched again our value almost tripled..
if this would happen, altough most of bitcoiners don't like junkies this wouldn't be good for us, what we want is a greater demand for bitcoin making our bitcoin more valuable Smiley

I don't want demand based on criminal enterprise, i don't care how much its value goes up. I would rather every dealer and SR get busted and shut down and drive the value to shit before let them flourish. Value built on crime isn't deserved.

you don't understand

people who bought bitcoins with their hard work will go bankrupt if all those "criminals" go down, bitcoin will go down, bitcoin would fall like a fat guy from an airplane and decent people would suffer, if you didn't like  it you shouldn't have joined because if they shut down every criminal website related to bitcoin people who invested everything they owned will become poor.
isn't it better to let a few junkies make stupid decisions? it's their life and this is ours!

Just because some people are held up by something that got bloated up by some criminal business doesn't justify it staying in place. Thats just greed talking. You don't maintain something like that just to keep someone's wallet fat unless you are in on it. I am not the only one, and if you don't like you shouldn't have joined because something has swollen due to use by criminal dirtbags. Sure it will fall, thats fine, then it can rise on its own with that crap. Stop being greedy.

Says the Average Joe who likely has a medicine cabinet full of "Approved" drugs.

SR had an anit-child-porn policy. They had my support after that.

BTCitcointalk 1%ers manipulate the currency and deceive its user community.

Nice try, but no meds in my cabinet, save for some ibuprofen, you can count that if you like, but whatever. Supporting heroin sales, murder for hire, doesnt make it worth supporting in anyway to me. Its a good thing DPR was busted, and the dealers are as well. Bitcoin doesn't need that trash, and with bitcoin rising after the SR bust, is clear evidence criminal enterprise has very little impact on bitcoin value.

criminal activity does have a significant impact, imo. just because SR went down doesn't mean that people would have stopped buying drugs or illegal services with BTC. speculators probably figured that someone else would take the crown from SR.
