armory is stuck in offline mode

 Hi
when I start armory, it always says offline mode,I'm running Windows 10, 64bit
bitcoin core is fully synced,the blockchain directory is Local data (C) > Program data thats whre the blocks are at.
Not sure if it is the right default folder.
Please help !!! :-)

Firstly, you're using an older version of Armory. You should update to the latest version... which you can find details about in the 0.96.4 RC3 thread in the Armory subforum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=97.0

Especially, if you have updated to v0.15+ of Bitcoin Core... older versions of Armory don't play well with new versions of Bitcoin Core.

Secondly, for Windows 10, you will need to have the following in your bitcoin.conf (If there isn't one in: "C:\Users\NYB\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin", then you will need to create one):

If you don't have "listen=1" and you use the Bitcoin-QT "GUI" interface to run and sync Bitcoin Core, then Armory will not be able to connect to it.

It's easy to locate... In Bitcoin Core, Goto "Help -> debug window -> information" and see what the "Datadir" value is:



However, if you're done with Armory and just want out, export your private keys and sweep or import them to the wallet of your choice... I'd recommend Electrum (https://electrum.org/#download)
