I refer to this post und to this rating.

Why do you have self mod thread ? I dont understand why would you need that.
Also do you think we are stupid ones ?
You bought the account, lastest post of the original owner was on January of 2014, you are new owner.
Probably a long term con artist.

BOUGHT ACCOUNT, PREVIOUS HACKED.

I'm accused that I would not be the actual owner of the account walterw. Of course that's a lie, because I can prove it by a signed message from an old btc address. I use my btc address from this post. My post is from 30.03.2014.

Would someone please be so kind and would confirm my signed message? Thank you.

By the way. It's funny that I'm being charged by someone selling accounts. Very strange.  Huh

Just what we need: more random accounts popping out of nowhere to offer to run signature campaigns.

Why is there such a huge gap in your posting history? November 14, 2014 was the last post until January 10, 2018. Your first post back was to create this thread that has been suspiciously edited and archived edited:

Please delete this thread.

Thank you.

I have opened the thread to offer my signature, but realized that there are enough campaigns for it.
So nothing special. The admin/mods can confirm that.

I do not mean to sound overbearing, but there are people who still have a real life.
Actually, it's none of your business what I did in the meantime and why I stayed away from this forum, but since I have nothing to hide, I'll explain why.
Study, family, friends and my girlfriend were one of the reasons why I did not have time for this forum. I do not even know why I need to explain myself AFTER I've posted an SIGNED and a VERIFIED message from an old btc address.  Roll Eyes

Because account sellers sometimes will offer an account with the private key to an old address included. Your account has its email recently changed and has been inactive a long time so it looks suspicious. I'm not saying you definitely did buy the account just that isn't really proof.

That's true. I recently changed my e-mail address because I no longer have access to my old e-mail address.
That's why I've added my new e-mail address to be on the safe side.

A signed message from an old bitcoin address is a standard procedure to prove that the account belongs to me.
I would not know how else I could verify my account. I can talk to you in German if it helps you (just kidding  Cheesy).
As I said, this account has never changed the owner and will never change the owner!

A signed message is a way of retrieving a hacked account. They can hack your forum account but not your Bitcoin private keys. There is no way of proving account sales one way or the other because the seller can provide everything you need. I'm not accusing you, I'm just pointing out that it's not something that can be proved.

I do not mean to sound overbearing, but there are people who still have a real life.

Actually, it's none of your business what I did in the meantime and why I stayed away from this forum, but since I have nothing to hide, I'll explain why.

Study, family and my girlfriend were one of the reasons why I did not have time for this forum.

So you don't go online at all during your "real" life? Studying, family and girlfriend take up your time 24/7? What changed now? I'm sure many people can go to school or run businesses, deal with family and girlfriends yet still find time to make the occasional post on a forum. You really don't think the huge gap in your posting is something that others should at least be concerned about?

I do not even know why I need to explain myself AFTER I've posted an SIGNED and a VERIFIED message from an old btc address.  Roll Eyes

As TheQuin just said people do sell accounts with private keys included, but it's still suspicious that you're MIA for years then suddenly decide to come back and start running campaigns. There have been dozens of scammers who have tried to run campaigns and several that have done so successfully. You could just be another one for all we know. You have no history here for years and all the signed message proves is your account isn't hacked but doesn't mean people shouldn't treat you with caution.

OK, then I misunderstood you. Nevertheless, I do not know how to prove now that I (the owner) stayed the same.

I never said that I was not online during that time. I just said that I did not have time for this forum! I simply did not visit this forum during the time. I can tell you exactly what has changed. The rapid rise of the btc in 2017!
I think it's a audacity that you accuse me without even a proof to have bought the account. Just because I stayed away from the forum does not mean that the account has changed owners.

but doesn't mean people shouldn't treat your with caution.

I still find it hard to believe or a little suspicious that you're so busy that you can't find the time to post or log on at all in years. Of course nobody is obliged to do so but you're likely going to be under some scrutiny when you return and start offering services after such a long time. And I never accused you of selling your account, but people do buy and sell accounts with private keys attached. That's just a fact.

I fully understand your concerns. I think that if I were in your position, I would have thought the same way. As I said, the boom of last year has brought me back to this forum.

In my thread you can read that I insist on an escrow (from this forum) in my campaigns because I want to protect my customers, the participants and myself. I am aware that I have not yet built trust in this forum, which is why I, as I said, will insist on an escrow. It may take a long time to build trust, but I like to invest that time.

If it helps. At the beginning of November 2014, I got my money back for a "mining right" from the seller Menig. At the time I wrote with asicminer-shop.de via PM.
At that time, he was seeking a preliminary injunction against User Menig. In any case, User Menig has returned the money back to me in 03.11.2014.
I still have the bank statement and can send you or the admin a clipping via PM.

~ people do buy and sell accounts with private keys attached. That's just a fact.
An inaccurate way to check this would be if the account owner dares to keep a substantial amount of money on the staked address for a sufficient amount of time. Say $500 for at least 2 weeks.
If the account is bought including private keys, chances are the seller takes $500.

In that case, account would be sold with the private keys and the money attached. That amount can be easily paid by the account buyer to the sellers another bitcoin address. This increases the chances of scam but can be avoided if the trade involves an escrow.

I see. Accounts sellers are becoming more sophisticated. So it's a package of an account with staked addresses, complete with private keys, Skype and email accounts. This compounds the difficulty of verifying ownership. And if the new owner is clever, he will find ways to talk his way out of sensitive verification steps. That's just awesome. They always find ways to stay one step ahead.

There should be other ways to purge them such as force-locking accounts to a specific device or IP range and requiring a waiting period before the account is linked to another device or a new email address.
