Jupiters do not work well on p2pool. My first impression.

140mm 367.62CFM fans, they run on 24V but will work with 12V I'm told, just a little slower.

I have a bunch of their 120mm fans, different models ranging from 190CFM up to 260CFM, lost the tip of a finger to one, they apparently aren't the kind of thing you plug in unless its held securely in place by screws :-S

Are the 140mm fans pwm? If so, maybe they are not being told to run fast enough by cgminer? Could be a software fix.

Or maybe buy an external fan controller, so you can turn them up to whatever speed you like.

I was told over the phone that they run at 12V, which means max speed.
Someone here also mentioned that they use 3 pin plug (12V, Ground, Sense), so definitely not PWM.

Is the case actually getting hot? If not then you are wasting your time spending money on fans and blowing your warranty.

Is the case actually getting hot? If not then you are wasting your time spending money on fans and blowing your warranty.

Yes due to the lack of air movement the case under the unit and in the back of the unit near the rear vents does get warm to the touch. Considering its aluminum thats not something to overlook. And like I had mentioned this unit is located in a room with an average ambient temp between 60 and 65 degrees fahrenheit.

I would also add that as I have posted on the first page, the simple steps taken has helped with performance.

Can you point to the source of where replacing fans will void warranty? Especially if those new fans are powered from an external power source?

If the unit fails because you modified the cooling system, then it's pretty obvious who is at fault!

How about you contact the manufacturer and tell them you are concerned about the cooling and ask them for the warranty details at the same time.

I do think that the first two chips are too widely separated, they are too close to the side of the case, where they might not receive enough air flow

@Sitarow any news, did you replace the front fans with the avalon type you mentioned before?
