We are now working on implementing a solution that will enable confirming a sending address by asking to type in the few final characters of the address. How will it work:

1. You will be asked to confirm the address only when pasting it from the clipboard. It won't be required for a QR code.
2. Clicking "Send" will inform the user to confirm last 2 characters of the address.
3. After typing in these characters the transaction is finalized.

The motivation for implementing this solution:

1. Preventing the possibility of a malware clipboard attack that would replace the correct address with that of the hacker. These kind of attacks are nowadays aimed mostly for bank accounts, but it's a matter of time when there will become dangerous for cryptocurrency users.
2. Confirming the address will also prevent common mistakes, like accidentally sending BTC to a BCH address. Taking a look at the address can help realize the mistake and cancel the transfer.

A similar solution will also inform the user when a large amount of cryptocurrency is being send. This will prevent accidentally sending a larger amount than intended, for example 0.1 BTC instead of 0.01. The amount of cryptocurrency and its fiat equivalent will be displayed so the user can check if the numbers are correct. This feature will be enabled both for pasting the address and scanning a QR code.

These features will be enabled by default, but of course they can be disabled.

We would also like to thank the new testers of our wallet for their great activity. We received a large number of fixes and ideas that can improve HODLER wallet.

New release of HODLER Wallet has been published. Windows version, APK package and source code can be downloaded here: https://github.com/HODLERTECH/HODLER-Open-Source-Multi-Asset-Wallet/releases/tag/0.3.1

Application installed from Play Store should update automatically within 48 hours.

In the current release moving wallets from smartphone to pc takes only few seconds thanks to the option of displaying a decrypted seed in QR form, which can be scanned and exported to another device – from pc to pc, phone to pc, or phone to another phone.



Another interesting new feature is the possibility to generate an encrypted paper wallet (including an instruction on how to restore it) with just one lick:
