Market condition (bear or bull)
Hype of the ICO
Supply/Demand (number of whitelisted people vs number of people in TG group, beware of bots)
Hardcap of the ICO
Token metrics
etc.

The year 2018 has been a bearish year for the space and I dont blame those who chose to buy in the market rather than at ICO or ITO. Pump and dump is another factor that has greatly affected the success of ICOs in 2018. Better to buy after all the pump and dump dramas.

Yes you are right,Investors are little bit worried about the immediate selling of bounty tokens in the market, that effect the market initially but long term investors need not to worry about it . Invest in ICO,  Scammers time now has been ended,they already destroyed crypto market  in late 2017 to 1st quarter of 2018, only good ground based concepts are in the market now,A early Investor can earn huge profit by early pick and be a part of a good concept.

today it is better to buy coins on the market because the price after the ico of the company falls. Of course, a very bad trend is a comma because it negatively affects the development of the project itself.

To make the right decision requires effort on the part of the investor. The investor needs to carry out research to ascertain if the ICO is good. It depends on how promising the project looks. But generally, it is somehow safe to buy on the market than buying at ICOs. This is because the project can easily collapse and might not be able to reach their desired amount they want to raise and may end up refunding your money.

For me it is better to buy in the market than to join in ICO because majority of ICO coin are getting dump when it enters the market. I think it is not the bounty hunters dump it because bounty hunters allocation is so small compared to company allocation and investors.

ICO is always a risk. I try to invest only in Hype ICO and to which it is difficult to get. Projects which have interested all, but not all could buy. Usually, It leads to a good profit. Market - only projects which the good event is expected in near future.

It depends on the market season, is it bearish or bullish?
In a bullish market, it's safer to buy during the TGE, as the price usually multiplies on exchanges.
In a bearish market, not so much.
The bonuses available for investors is also a factor worth considering.

After ICO it will become cheaper because bounty hunters often sell it after they got paid.
The best way to buy is, buy some in ICO, and some after ICO in the exchanges, especially the DEX exchange usually cheaper.
Be careful when you not buying in ICO, it may not achieving soft cap and the project will failed.

You are absolutely right about investors having a second thought of buying tokens in during ICO. Because when the token hit the market the price will be much lower compared to ICO price. Investors and bounty hunters are selling their tokens in a much cheaper price and some investors took advantage that. For me I would love to buy the tokens in the exchanges because i will get a much better deal.

Usually, if this is a promising company, then the price of the coin on the exchange is much higher than the price of the ICO.  And in this case it is better to invest in ICO.
