With the rumors speculating that the new cards from NVidia will not come out until at least Q3 make it enticing to pick up more cards.

Are you demented? saying q3? nvidia new cards is next month.

Some people say next generation of nvidia cards will arrive next month, other people says Q3, for people who say that will arrive next month, has nvidia released a press note or has made an official announcement about the nvidias 20xx?.

In any case, we don`t know the mining power of the nvidias 20xx and the price, so we don`t know how profitables this new cards will be.

At this moment we are in a selloff, if at some point prices make mining not profitable and people start to stop mining, how this cryptocurrencies are going to keep their networks?, they need miners by design, so at some point they will need to find the way to reward the miners or the cryptocurrencies based on pow will die if no one is mining because is not profitable.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

You all know whats going on here right now, right?  They know the crypto events coming in the middle of March.  Follow me here.  They also know that the price is going to shoot up by the end of the month.  So they ran prices down so they can buy more coin for their added additional money so when it runs back up toward the end of the month, they cash out with huge profits.  Just like the stock market.  Shorting the hell outta it.

hey guys! found some rx 9 390x for good money. stating that the clock spead is 1050 with a mh/s being 1000, can this sucker really pull in almost 100 bucks a card, a day? b4 I drop the $ I just want some feed back. based on the calculators it would still be profitable, but I would like some real life feedback as there is no one in my area into mining. thx a lot! Cool

For me, ETH is more beneficial than mining right now, Everyone knows what is going on with ETH, but I suppose that ETH will end up in March and continue to rebound and have future coins, it will bring huge profits for everyone.

I see no reason to be optimistic. Falls not only the price of coins. Now falling profit production ETH. Even if in the future the value of coins will increase the number of coins you have will less than this was before. Many coins are now mined using asics. It creates problems for those who mine coins by means of GPU and for coins. Probably the future only for those coins that will have protection against mining asics.

What I hate here is that some people says mining of some coins don't worths because of high electricity fees (mining goes into minus).
Also we all have to consider the fact that price of coins rises, just remember how ether rised, how ripple rised, how bitcoin rised.....
Cost of electricity doesn't worths when you see a high hope in coin, it worths to mine it in any way and wait for long term profit.

Only bitcoin rose, all tagged along for the ride. Now as I believe ethereum is the future, only eth will keep rising and other will tag along for the ride with it, for now still bitcoin.

Etherium  couldnot  be the future, itis only one of miriads another altcoins. Not fast, not anonimous, not scaleable. Smart contracts - what this? It's a mith of Vitalic, who uses it in real life. And NEO, Cardano and others are the same. Also I wander if he was a good programmer after all. Where is so called Casper?

Bitcoin is a name.  May be Bitcoin Cash.

Ethereum is already in use and the French retail giant "Carrefour" (>100 billion USD in revenue) is slowly begining to use it. https://www.numerama.com/tech/333914-carrefour-et-le-poulet-blockchain-et-si-le-groupe-avait-pris-une-longueur-davance-sur-la-tracabilite.html

search different coins and do research on their trends and prices daily. that will help decide which ones will be worth it.

at current prices, simply no.

BTC no more than 6k by end of 2019. ETH no more than 300$ by end 2019. Huge market manipulation, huge amount of scammers and hypers.

eth's 15 seconds transaction is the future, less than that could cause problems, more than that could cause problems, the only thing that needs is to increase transactions per block. There is nothing better than eth at moment.

is there anyway to come relatively close to figuring a hash rate on overclock speeds? i found this link with a list of graphics cards with their hashrates based on speeds. i would love someone to verify the truth behind this

It's really hard to say, because the miner (say ewbf v. dstm v. bminer for equihash, different versions of ccminer for other algos), card temps, and even type of cards within a given series (different manufacturers, memory types etc) all affect these things. What worked for me was to get to know each type of card and oc them based on that.

It does go to the question of "is mining worth it", as better brands like EVGA do a bit better in my experience but you have to compare their price premium vs. hash premium in terms of long term/future price, the rate of increase in difficulty over time, etc.
