today isn't a good idea to buy some hardware to mine, you can see what happens to the current market situation but if you still want to try mining, you can buy 1050ti.

Buy coins instead of mining.. It will take ages to get your "investment" of $1000-$2000 back.

I would have bought 3 GTX 1070 Ti or 2 GTX 1080 Ti. But you can just invest in a promising cryptocurrency and wait for x2-x5. I'm still more inclined to buy video cards.

yeah, you can buy RX560 for AMD or 1050/ti or can buy secondhand hardware to fit your budget or can consider what @BitBustah said:

If I were you, I'd go for:

-6x RX 470 4 GB (will cost around $1000)
-Around 1000 Watts Power Supply
-Motherboard consisting of 6 PCI-E slots
-4 GB RAM (cheapest available)
-Least memory-sized SSD

Buying all of this is possible within the range of $2000. You may also check out "Marketplace > Goods > Computer hardware" section of this forums for better deals.

Risk are you can get those as a second hand units, already mining for more than a year already

Like the other user above says, seems its not the right time to buy for new gear

ASIC miner are nearly on full blast

so @OP if I were you, just observe the trend

also there are new GPU hardware coming out soon
