I don't know about "fast", sometimes Steemit (which also runs on the Steem Blockchain) is so slow, but this might be witness related rather than blockchain.
The difference of using ERC20 is that it's reliable, hundreds of tokens worth billions are based on it. The next best bet would be Waves, Neo, Stellar or something.
I don't see the value of having tokens hosted on Steem anyway, although yes if you pitch about SMT's I'll obviously agree with you

All these are some of the minor things that wards off investors. Wizzle needs a telegram group or channel to keep members updated. How do we even get our issues addressed?
