The prospects might not be bad but we are still far away from becoming the number one. BTCP has some backing despite the very questionable circumstances. Maybe over time the momentum shifts towards BTCZ.

I am invested in BTCP as well but their team is so shady I regret my investment. After losing all the value in ZCL overnight, and BTCP value collapse in a few days, now they are trying to fabricate coins out of thin air, just to dump away. They call that BIP9 basically to capture and dump all the BTCP from those BTC holders who didnt claim their BTCP after the fork. The devs will be able to take those BTCP for themselves and dump as soon as there is some liquidity. 

Hi brooklynite1, wait, is this for real? I haven't heard about it yet but if they claim what other people are entitled to, no matter how they do it, it is theft isn't it? I mean no judge will care whether a line of code made the steal or anything else. It must be theft?

Updated version of EquiMiner

Had a user with 20 rigs running EquiMiner.  But any time he wanted to change coin, he had to select for each of the 8 GPU's on each rig.  Updated version of EquiMiner allows users to look to a .json config file.  Set all your miners to look at 1 file on your network, and now you just need to update that 1 file.  All your EquiMiners will auto switch to the new coin!

I dont think any of the other Equihash coins have a branded mobile wallet. Coinami, Freewallet, etc are not branded exclusive. BTCZ has a branded exclusive wallet.

This makes BTCZ exclusive among Equihash Coins!

Everybody needs to calm down a bit. BitcoinZ is a great product. This is not a token it is a coin, replacement for Bitcoin, hence Bitcoin 2.0.  For me, it has everything a coin I intend to use as money:

• maximum number of coins to be issued, 21 billion, is a good thing. One day in a future when we are using BTCZ in real life, I want things to feel natural. For example, I want to pay for a dinner 20 BTCZ, for a car 21000 and for a house 350000 BTCZ. Those numbers feel natural to me.  Paying 35 BTC for a house, the number does not feel natural to me.
• private addresses are a must for me. I value my privacy, and I do not want my balance and spending history to be available for the whole world to see.
• transaction speeds are already great, but I'm sure, in the future, some new technical solutions will be available, so the speeds will also increase as the number of people using BTCZ will increase
• decentralization is also essential. If you have just a few large mining farms controlling all the mining, manipulations are sure to occur.
• GPU mining allows ordinary people to become miners with existing equipment

So technical aspects of BTCZ coin are absolutely great!

For those FUDing about how this coin is dying, I would like you to consider a few things:

• coin is only a few months old. It needs time to develop and to be accepted by people. Many coins needed years before some sort of real success. VTC, also community coin, for example.
• if you get involved into BTCZ just to day trade and become rich quickly, then true, this coin is probably not for you.
• the whole market is still very bearish, even tokens with large dedicated teams and massive funds from ICOs, also struggle with prices. Many tokens are near ICO prices.

If you believe in this coin, and if you have patience needed to be in this business, then this is a great time to accumulate. You can buy cheap BTCZ or mine it. I'm sure in a year or two you will not be sorry. Of course, nothing in life is 100%.
 
True in the future this coin will need to get some sort of foundation that will become a little more professionally managed, but for now we as a community, just need to stay positive and try to do our part, spreading the word about this great product, voting, ...

21 Billion ist just to much and makes no sense in any Case because if the Coin will be used for anything there is an Flow. And also the Coin is not just some Months old, it arrive 6 Months in some Weeks! The Price now is on the same Level as  the Coin have started. So you would say Nice Run and everything was made perfect? And your calculation : "I want to pay for a dinner 20 BTCZ, for a car 21000 and for a house 350000 BTCZ. Those numbers feel natural to me." is complete wrong too! This Coin with that massive number of 21 Billion Coins will never, absolut never reach 1$ or €! So in the Case that you ever (i do not thing so, it will go to Zero before this) can pay your Dinner with it then you pay (at the current Price and it will not go much higher) 10000 BTCZ for an 20$/€ Dinner. This feel more realistic for you?
