So just update the Windows wallet and the coins will be fine?

Overwrite with the one from the zipfile. Backup first. (Just make a copy of the old folder if you are lazy and have the keys).

If it goes as planned you should get version number 1.2.1.

We have normality..

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Any information if BTCZ will still be mineable with 3gb 1060?

ZHash in its current state is able to mine BTCZ with 2.6GB of RAM which is less than 3GB. The 1060 3GB card is the lowest end card we want to support. As far as I know, as long as it is not being used as a video card by windows, then it should be able to mine.
Thank you very much for the clarification. That's all I wanted to hear. Wink

Sunday!

Remember to lower temp limit in MSI afterburner to 60 (yes 60! Degrees.) if your rig goes wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! in a very loud and aggressive fashion. It wil stay around 63 degrees. Don't be confused about that. It is as good as it gets.

It is the coins your are after. Not the noise.

PS: It cost approx 20% sol.

Maintenance means buying time.

BTW. I have updated to latest wallet version. Inherited errors came with the upgrade.
(Annoying splashscreen with complaints about "invalid or watch-only addresses.")

BTCZ is back on StockExchange and works good!

For those who are holding BitcoinZ in Coinomi wallet:
I was asking the Coinomi Team if BTCZ holders should do anything with their wallets in order to be sure not to loose their coins after the fork happens.

Their answer is clear:
"Nothing to do, Coinomi will be updated by the given date."

Is there an AMD miner for ZHash ?

Only Nvidia?

Currently it is available only for CPU & Nvidia GPU: https://github.com/btcz/zhasher/releases

AMD miner needs more time, we are still searching for a developer to build it for us.

I have been mining to android wallet for few days, and then stopped.
Today I started mining again, but address in android wallet has changed.
Is that some bug?

Guys, since you are looking for help on AMD miner, how about Mark Bevand?
@zorinaq
https://twitter.com/zorinaq
http://www.zorinaq.com

Seems like a very smart guy. Ex Googler. I reached out to him via Twitter but no response. I can't direct message him because he doesn't follow me. I tweeted him the discord link but most probably he has not seen it. I think an email from the core dev team may get a response.

WORD OF ADVICE to BTCZ devs - don't wait to to make the change to ZHASH after ASICS drive up the difficulty or it will be an ugly transition. Just went through a week of hell with ETN making the algo change back to GPU and its still not quite right yet.... and has been very costly for the devs team to implement now.

The fork is already locked in. It's 1 week away.

Hey I downloaded the CPU miner and I get 0 sols/s is that normal because the new chain is not up and running yet?

Yes. The answer is no. Or yes. Ohh yeah.. The new chain ? No. Not yet.

If I were really really bored i would start testing this:

https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases

Updated. What. 21 hours ago ? It got like the Keccak algo ? If you love Maxcoins.

In shorts. You must learn to trust a hippie.

Thanks for mentioning that.

PS: Master node stuff. It is embarrassing to see people go. Oh yeah. 500.000 in required deposit is better.
Make it as close to 0 you can get if you pick that path.

Let communism rule.. What i mean is. Getting to the first 1000 can be some job to some people.

One more question won't bug anymore; are we still going to be able to use equpool's miner for BTCZ; or we will have to use this Zhasher where I don't even know how to change wallet address. Nvidia cards  Huh Huh Huh

I guess it is because the new chain with ZHash algo will start from 160 000 block height, it will run in parallel with the old Equihash until block 160 010, and from that only the ZHash based will be accepted.

Did you try the ZHasher on test net? Instructions and syntax examples at middle of page https://github.com/btcz/zhasher/releases
