Hi! Since games on the blockchain became a thing, I have tried out most of the alternatives to Cryptokitties that have popped up over the last couple of months. Today, I would like to introduce a game that I think stand out and has great future potential to grow, its also really fun and easy to get going. It is called "Cryptocities". Its actually not just a game, its intended to be somewhat of a platform, in which other games can operate and add value and mechanics tied to real world locations. The game is based on real world locations anywhere on the planet, and resources tied to these villages, towns, cities and metropolitans. Even countries and continents play a part of the system and can be owned. The first stages of this game, which is happening right now, is the discovery phase of all the locations. This is were you come in, the locations is discovered by you! You and the game engine/developers generate random real world locations appearing in your account as your asset on the blockchain. These locations can then be traded on an open market or used for newer and bigger, more advanced discoveries. You deicide if you want to hodle, use or sell. In the next phase of the game, the idea is then to interact more games into the platform, tied to the locations, to add more and more functions and applications to the ecosystem over time. The developers are daily adding new and improved functions to the game, as well as acting on suggestions/popular demand from the community. Many other games have a very high entry price wich makes it impossible to buy anything unless you have plenty of etherium to spare. This game is is actually affordable to most right now, the entry cost is about 0.01 eth.

So how does it work? Its actually quite simple to get going. All the locations in the world are to be discovered, or at least a million of them, and its by us users! So how? Well you buy an already existing location from the market and can then make a new discovery of your own! You will pay a discovery cost, and then it takes about 15 hours in cool down until your new location is discovered. Meanwhile the system picks a brand new spot on the worldmap, and the developers check for duplication and validity, when everything is cleared it pops up in your inventory. Probably some little forgotten village in Australia or so, if it is a low-point location discovery.

There are different locations sizes, off course, this game is about discovering, or buying, bigger and bigger locations. Bigger locations are harder to get, are more rare, have more attributes( which will be used in future integrated games and functions), and cost a lot more to produce and buy. You need more locations and location points, to build bigger and more valuable cities. The bigger the location, the higher location points. The endgame right now is megacities like London etc, which will take a substantial effort and investment to be able to obtain. Or if you can cash up and strait up buy it. As of now, no one is even halfway to the biggest 50-point megacities. How long will you go, and how big locations can you produce to hodle or sell to the market?

There are also countries, with different mechanics. They are always snatchable, for a higher price. The rest of the location market is different where you deicide if, or to what price you want to sell. The countries are released over time and give a huge boost in location points so you can make bigger discoveries.

The developers of this game are awesome! You can join the discord channel and give suggestion to anything you want, even game mechanics. For example someone suggests there should be a button for "x" and "b", two hours later, devs replay "done" and its a reality! I have never seen a more direct developer-community relation where you really can be heard and get your suggestions implemented. It is constantly evolving, so the potential is endless, and its only 2 weeks in. This is like the ICO-stage, where the discoveries are made, the gaming aspects and more and more functions and utilities are added in the next stages. They also seem to be open for other programmers to come in at an early stage to help develop candidates for integrated games and functions tied to the locations. This is the next bit step for the game.

So go try it out! Snatch your first location and discover a new location of your own! There is also a lot of competitions and other fun stuff within the community and the discord!

Lets get this thing the biggest crypto-game of 2018!
