Currently you can't buy alts without bc. So that's why their prices are so linked.

Once there more ways to buy alts with fiat, you'll be seeing less of a price dependency

Actually there are loads of alts you can buy with fiat (dollars or euros, or korean won). Ethereum, litecoin, bitcoincash, monero and others can all be bought directly.

Everyone learns the game. The crash is needed if you want to earn more, but to crash Bitcoin today one thing is not enough.
We will see more mind games with week hands.

More platforms now, allows us to buy them in some physical stores or just through their websites, but we are used in the common way that btc is the main way to bought them, but eth here can be bought in a convenience store easily like btc did.

Yes. All cryptocurrency would follow Bitcoin trend in fact. Bitcoin is the driving crypto for all altcoins, some altcoins may show positive still when Bitcoin is down is due to the impact may spread a bit slow to others. But definitely Bitcoin would impact every altcoins for sure.

Some times Bitcoin may be down and Ethereum or ripple for example still in positive but it may follow Bitcoin trend at a later stage since the impact may be slow on these coins.
bitcoin must immediately pump the price, so that the positive impact can be impacted to other coins. I have seen a very important role in the world of crypto, IMO if bitcoin performance gradually improves undoubtedly other coins will also be improving (price).

we really need improvement for future benefits.
what to start action from now on? yes, I mean to take off towards the hike again.

https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-drops-8300-mt-gox-trustee-sell-off-continues-market-drops/
It is a shame that 40,000 bitcoin and 1.x billion dollar is having a huge effect on the value of bitcoin. Yes, we know that the rise last year was actually uncalled for, but it just shows that bitcoin is trying hard to catch up with the selloff not affecting it hugely.

I guess we will need huge news to get the market up hugely in the coming months; otherwise, we will keep having a lot of resistances to deal with. However, looking at the whole thing happening with bitcoin, I feel it is still a good thing for us to have some period of accumulation, because like it or not, we are getting past this soon.

Well, i've seen so many FUDs around most especially if bitcoin is dropping its market price a bit. As i see it, that's another FUD on the rack trying to push weak hands to to panic sell that would probably make the situation even worse. It is just a trick for some so that they can buy bitcoin's dip.

that is just spreading more and more FUD about bitcoin to lower the price since the drop had already started. and these news sites are loving it too!

the fact is this may not even be a true story and a compele hoax! and even if it were true, the guy has been reported to be selling when price was less than $4000 last year and as you can see his alleged sales not only didn't affect the market but also price went up to $20k!
Well, who really care if they wish to lower the price ? The lower it is, the better for some of us who have been waiting for a much lower price anyway. Those who are smart enough to keep accumulating will keep doing and those who are dumb enough to stay out of the picture will give us more time to keep accumulating more for the future. Whatever the case is, at the end of it all, it would not stop bitcoin from getting to where it is meant to be, so they can keep up with their FUD for all we care.

Bitcoin is the mother of another coin,
We should be glad that Bitcoin has managed to fight the issues and bad news a few weeks ago. Now is a time of resurrection and indeed this situation is very difficult than ever before. The role of big investors is very important at this time in this regard.
Honestly, I feel we concentrate more on the bad news than the good things that we have been experiencing. A lot of people in the past have always called bitcoin a bubble and if it was really a bubble, scenarios like this should have painted the whole cryptocurrency atmosphere black as bitcoin goes crashing but that is not applicable in this case, and that obviously shows us there is a lot to come.

The only improvement I'm seeing that will really push bitcoin is Lightning Network implementation. However, there are a lot of thing being sorted out as of this moment and perhaps we need to wait a bit further. The best thing to do right now since we are in a dip, is to really purchase bitcoin and altcoin are well. How many of us are bitching out saying that bitcoin is expensive. Now is your time to shine. Get your acts together, help the market overcome the bearish sentiments, start buying today!!!. As far the link you gave, the timing of his sell-off is in questions, however, it maybe because he needs to liquidate it or something to that effect that's why he suddenly dumps huge amount and continue to do as this moment.
Well, that is one, and the adoption of segwit for cheaper and faster transaction is second. I cannot say how this will unfold in the short or long run, but I really do not see any reason to panic. If MtGox trustee have decided to offload and have been doing that already, then that shows that the market is strong enough to collect it all. Good thing we are having more to hold up for the future.
