Hi all,

As most people know Bitcoin-24.com is already offline for a while now. What really bothers me is that the supply of new information and also the attention for this problem (or scam) seems to decrease every day. I have about 7.5k EUR on that website so I am one of the victims.

For example, the topic about this on Reddit isn't really active anymore, people seem to loose their attention for this problem. Also their hasn't even been sent an e-mail by Simon to all the users of bitcoin-24 which I think is not only very strange but also unacceptable and very disrespectful to his customers. The supply of information just isn't there. His customers and victims of this problem have the right to be informed about issues like this, I mean it's not a little problem or something, it's HUGE... 100.000's of euro's (or even more) are missing, again, thats huge, and I that's why I think it's very disrespectful to not inform your customers by e-mail, we just have to find out and look for ourselfs.. It's just not done and it disgusts me.

Another thing that bothers me is there is some information in German on their homepage and it also says an English translation will be on there 'this evening'. We are now 3 days further and no translation has been added, I mean wtf...!? Also he is not responding to emails for more than a week, while I think he owes an explenation.

Meanwhile, 'Simon', the owner of bitcoin-24 could be a scammer who uses some sort of stalling tactic hoping that most of the customers forget about this slowly or lose their hope to get their money back. We have to do something and not let Simon get away with this, again, I do not say it is, but it could all be a huge scam. We have the right to get more information and get updated about the situation every single day. It reallt frustrates me that the attention for this huge issue is slowly decreasing and if this keeps on going Simon could just get away with this.

Since we all have to find everything out for ourselfs, is there some forum/site where victims of this problem gather? Like I said, the Reddit thread is slowly dying...

Also this thread, which links to pdfs of government documents related to the closure.

Regardless of Simon's intentions, there's a money-laundering investigation under way and that is going to affect his ability to do anything at all with the funds in question.  That money isn't moving until the authorities say it can be moved.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

The official lawyer statement is just a waste of more time. It adds more questions than it answers.

Lawyer statement 10 October:

https://bitcoin-24.com/download/2013_10_10_en.pdf

Highlights:
"These actions are hardly comprehensible and show the judiciary in Poland in a hugely unfavourable light. "

"It is gradually becoming evident that the Polish Public Prosecutor's Office conjures up new allegations out of a hat whenever all reasons for confiscation are refuted and, thus, delays the matter."

"the situation in Poland and the approach adopted by the Polish Public Prosecutor's Office appears increasingly bleak and, from the perspective of the rule of law, no longer reconcilable."
