Bitcoin has been announced since the day it was invented, and it will be suppressed by governments in the future and declared illegal currency. Is the basis, the further development of the currency will be in the interests of the threat to traditional monetary and ruler, not the rights to cryptography currency once governments announced that the currency is illegal, its price will produce volatile in the short term, and may even crash. At the same time, the government will force the bitcoin exchange to be shut down, so that bitcoin can only be sold in private, and its exchange capacity will be badly hit. Will the government ban bitcoin?

I think we shouldn't fear governments banning Bitcoin anymore. It was the thing of the past. Governments and regulators are looking for ways to regulate it. They are looking for ways to use crypto in a positive way instead of outright banning it which will eliminates all of its potential. In the recent G20 summit, the chairman of the Financial Stability Board of G20 said:

Quote
The FBS’s initial assessment is that crypto-assets do not pose risks to global financial stability at this time
source: https://crypto-lines.com/2018/03/19/cryptocurrencies-dont-risk-global-stability/

Which is a very good thing to hear for us the crypto enthusiast. I believe crypto will be the future of global economy now more than ever.

The government will not prohibit bitcoin because it is a transparent system and bitcoin is a free currency that is not responsible for the people

The government can still ban bitcoin as long as we are talking about using it in their country but they can't really stop people on using it and find a way that they can use it in the internet but not really in their country. As far as I know there are still Chinese who uses bitcoin even that is banned in their country. People can still trade digital currencies online.

there are so many governments that prohibit the circulation of crypto currency, one of Indonesia.
which according to the Governor of Bank Indonesia said the ban should be done to prevent Bitcoin used in cases of money laundering, terrorism financing, while maintaining the sovereignty of the rupiah currency. . But this is impossible for the government to ban it,
this can be detrimental to the Indonesian bank because the transaction runs abroad using other currencies ..

I have not seen where any government proposed to ban cryptocurrencies. Government's attempt to regulate cryptocurrencies should not be misunderstood for a ban. While I don't like this idea of even regulating cryptocurrencies, i still will never take it to mean prohibition. Regulations will also come with its own advantages.

I think it depends on it. But it does not seem to be the case because bitcoins show good and people use it. In fact it will have helped people. It is simply considered illegal because it exploits the people. Many people are deceived and constantly deceived because they do not know how to investigate what bitcoins really are

The government will ban Bitcoin, if the government considers the existence of Bitcoin in the country will endanger the economy in the country, or other reasons such as Bitcoin has been widely used as a tool of crime. So the government has the authority to ban Bitcoin. but if there is no clear reason, where might a country be banning Bitcoin. It is impossible.

Most governments consider it legal and good for the economy right now since it brings innovation and positive economic development.

I would be extremely surprised if this atmosphere changes the next months or years.

TBH the chance of making it illegal would be under 5% now. I would be more worried about regulations and taxes...

I think government can't ban bitcoin because there are ao many person that makes their life better because of it. Other said government can ban bitcoin because bitcoin doesn't have tax and they think that bitcoin can make real money disappear.

before the governments of many countries were against bitcoin, but now the situation has changed, a lot of states advocated the legalization of bitcoin, and those countries that are still against, eventually will also accept, this in my opinion is inevitable

There is a possibility that the government ban the bitcoin if they notice that some criminals are using bitcoin for their illegal work, but now some countries around the world are now legalize the bitcoin for their economy growth.

Governments will definitely not ban cryptocurrencies. They all see the advantages of cryptocurrencies and they want to profit also. So they will have regulations in order to keep control and to tax the transactions

for now there are many countries that have not received bitcoin and they even strictly prohibit, and the only bad excuse that always expressed when there are many positive side, if my country can still be accessed but the government still forbid to deal directly with bitcoin

I'm affraid sooner or later they will do it. For example the National Assembly of Ecuador banned bitcoins including other decentralized digital/crypto currencies, due to the establishment of a new state-run electronic money system.

I think it depends on each government because every government has different views. Basically, no government can control Bitcoin, but if they find it has a negative impact on their economy and country, they can come up with a few rules about using Bitcoin. Bitcoin is developing very strongly and becoming more popular. Currently, I find that many countries have a more positive view on Bitcoin, only a few countries banned the use of Bitcoin in payment.

These kind of issues has been revolving around for quite some time since the outburst of bitcoin price however i don't think government will truly banned bitcoin, rather than that they intend to regulate bitcoin and generating another taxation law from it doesn't sound that bad at all.
