PAC is very old and almost useless SHA256 alt. One of the first back then.

I think it's a glitch or very temporary pump, because it's still have a daily volume of $375,967 USD.

Got answer from redit:  CMC is apparently using the old pac circulation as the multiplier -- this is incorrect. Trying to get this posted in other places to avoid any confusion.

This was just brought to our attention.

i see supply of this coin is 2 trillions of coins and 1 coin is 1 cent, so thats why all marketcap is top3 .  Its strange that this coin got so big supply lol.

The same thing happened last week with another coin - Global Jobcoin was suddenly 3700% up. The PACcoin volume in the last 24 hours is only $383K USD and it`s traded only on Cryptopia and YoBit... so it`s not very hard to draw a conclusion

My speculation as to what's happening is this. The price was previously 1 satoshi but it was announced that the supply would be greatly reduced, people would trade in I think 10 pacc for 1 in an attempt to increase the price, it might have been even more than a factor of 10. My guess is that this has happened and that's why the price has increased but the total supply has not been changed and so it's using the new price with the old supply and that's why it's so huge.

it is because cmc using the pac coin's old supply which is now reduced to 3 billion .. now cmc multiplying the old supply with the new price which is much higher than the old one..

If you see my above post and also the guys post below that you can understand what happened. There are also some articles on it. Supply was decreased by a factor of 100 but this wasn't reflected on CMC at the time of it being no 3.
