That is a natural thing, BTC dominates the market, so the BTC price affects all activities of the market including ICO

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Many inexperienced traders and investors are judged about the entire crypt at the Bitcoin rate and many do not invest because they are afraid that the market will collapse if Bitcoin on the dump...

I think btc price and eth price directly affect ICOs price. most of the ico based on erc20 system so eth price and btc price ups and down affect ico market.

Bitcoin still affects all the processes in the crypt and, as if personally, I would not like to admit it, it really is.

Many ICO  pay by Bitcoin or Ethereum in bounty campaigns and the market price of these coins influences the participation of investors in these projects.

I have been wondering how directly and indirectly fluctuations in the price of bitcoin affects ICOs performance at that time. Anyone who knows this can assist in the explanation.

Some ICOs accept bitcoin or ethereum as payment. So, when bitcoin price is not good, people don't want to spend their bitcoin because they will get lesser coins. So, it really affects ICO. That is why most ICOs fail at this kind of market situatuin.

Bitcoin price directly affect ICOs and other Crypto. Actually Crypto market runs on Good/Bad news and sentiments. When there is any bad news about Bitcoin all crypto markets reacts negatively and market sentiments becomes negative it effects all ICOs and all altcoin.

Yes, I noticed that Bitcoin or Ethereum affect ICO's. When the the price of bitcoin/ethereum is dumping, In my blockfolio app my tokens are red and when it is pumping it turns to green. I am always monitoring the movement of my tokens.

in my opinion, bitcoin price does not affect ico immediately, but bitcoin price is signal for the market trend, if bitcoin price keeps falling like this, then whole market will fall too and then people fear to buy altcoins, then ico coin price will break and people will not participate in ico cause there is no profit

Yes the price of bitcoin and ether definitely has a massive impact on the ICO market, people are far more likely to participate in higher risk ICOs when their portfolio is doing well. I think we will see a run in alts which will bring the ICO market back to life

The truth is that the price of bitcoin really affects ICO prices very much. In my opinion i think the reason is because Bitcoin itself affects crypto and blockchain as a whole. Initially when the price of bitcoin fell then the alts will rise but recently it is the other way round. They move together- bitcoin falls with the alts and rises with them as well. The fact is that every news about crypto is captured with bitcoin. When people hear the price of bitcoin has fallen, they think crypto as a whole has fallen and hence will feel reluctant to invest in any ICO. Also, the bans and regulations of this year have all been captured with bitcoin and hence everyone wants to sell off their coins and hence it reduces those who want to invest in crypto or any ICO. The bottom line is that, very few people currently believe in crypto and hence they all do not want to invest in any ICO. We hope this changes sometime in the future

The whole crypto world is connected with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is now directly reflecting on ICO, but investors are comparing everything with Bitcoin and try to judge from Bitcoins price.

I don't agree with you. Bitcoin does not affect anything. But all investors are trying to predict the future and follow the direction that Bitcoin sets.
About the ICO, the problem comes with the investors mood. When the Bitcoins price is low most investors only think how to save their money, but not to commit any more.

I think that this trend will not last long, because Bitcoin loses its popularity, and with it the capitalization.

If the ICOs softcap and hardcap are measured on fiats like USD then it would affect the outcome of the project whether should it be considered as succezz or not.

Also, the priceof BTC can affect how expensive the tokens sold in ICOs even if it's in ETH. The conversion between ETH and BTC also related to its respective pair in USD.

It will but not hugely affect if btc price goes down, if the ico has a good plan team and effort investors will invest to the ico.
