Do you guys deal with humidity where you live? I assume it's probably not the best for rigs and was curious on how to prepare for the coming humid months. Dehumidifiers, airflow or just crank the AC 24/7?
I haven't experienced it, because this will be my first summer mining, but I live in midwestern part of the USA, and we have some humid days in July and August. I'm very curious to see how that goes. Same here man. But turns out rigs are essentially expensive dehumidifiers as greenfailure pointed out lol. Just gonna buy more fans to improve airflow and mine on!

So here is my fun setup. https://imgur.com/a/GlE1cRight now it's functional. Summer time I'm not sure. I may bring in a portable swamp cooler and see if that helps with cooling assuming I can keep the humidity at bay. The gable fan has a thermostat and humidistat so I can easily pull out air if the humidity gets to high. The room it's in right now is approximately 10x20x9 so the air circulates almost twice every minute. I've been looking at warehouses to setup my own mining hosting operation (and I could use the space for my existing business) so I might switch it up when I find something. Why do you need a lock on the door? Can't you just kick out the filters and climb through?

There's a security screen door there you can't see (#1 to keep people out, #2 to help keep bugs out). I kept the top part covered in Styrofoam to help keep the air coming in at the floor level but could easily remove that and bring more air in if needed. Rain/Snow can come in through the door for now until I cover it outside more to help keep that out. The door leads to my back yard, so not a lot of people would even notice it. It's not something they are going to be easily getting through. I hope no one does, I don't want to clean up blood off my equipment (bullets do that ). I have a security camera/alarm system running 24/7 also along with smoke detectors that link across my house (if one goes off, they all go off). Hopefully that makes sense. Not the optimal system but it works. Equipment is nice and cool and fans are usually only 33% on the GPU's and < 5000 RPM on the Asic's. You should not have troubles by opening the venting through the roof although im not sure if that would be enough to keep all cool, anyways, noise can be controlled with acoustic foam as well

The guy in florida, two ton hasher, does great stuff on his porch, if youve got a porch to do it i'd go with that.
I've seen his youtube videos, if we're talking about the same guy. Rigs in wooden boxes on the enclosed porch? You're right. Seems like he's doing very well even in the humid weather down there.

OP said he has an HOA, I doubt they would approve of anything like that sitting outside (at least in his front yard/porch). Garage works, just have to be creative in how you vent things and create air flow. The guy in florida, two ton hasher, does great stuff on his porch, if youve got a porch to do it i'd go with that.

Setup looks decent so far. As others have said, it shouldn't be too loud overall, at least not so much that it would be an issue with neighbours.
Could try to design it like a server farm and have a wind tunnel in the middle.

I have 49 GPU's and 7 ASIC miners in my garage. Cooling has been tough. I cut two 5" holes in the side of the house and put dryer vent 'shields' over the holes to make them look like ordinary household vents from the outside. One sucks air in, the other pumps hot air out. I use Vortex 8" ducted fans on both holes. The Vortex fans are really loud, but at least inside the garage the sound is muffled. Then I have an AC unit which vents its hot air also through the 5" vent exit.
This worked okay in winter but now I am putting all the rigs into a tent inside the garage. Stacking them inside the tent. With ducting pushing outside air into the tent, and the other vortex fan via ducting pushing the tent air outside, it should be really cool, also the AC will pump its cold air into the tent.
Setting up my garage cooling (and constantly adjusting/improving it) has taken way longer than building the rigs themselves.

I agree for sure with that statement. Setting up the rigs to run isn't hard, getting them to stay cooled 24/7 is another story. It's not so bad with 1 or 2 rigs but when you start multiplying that or adding ASIC's to the mix, it's crazy how hot a room can get in a few minutes of them running without proper (any?) airflow. If I only had 240v in every room during the winter, I could save money on my heating bill. I have 49 GPU's and 7 ASIC miners in my garage. Cooling has been tough. 1500 cfm each , they use around 260 watts each
noemaly i only ever have 4 on but with comininf spring ive had to turn all six on which is not ideal. Next few weeks ill add ain intake fan 2500 cfm , to bring in outside air , that way the total air in the garage gets exchanged faster ,
it should reall help impove tempa even further
How long have you been running your farm? Just the Winter? nah but last yearci had half the gpus i had and no s9s or d3s basically outputting twice the heat i did last year, but last year i had nothing to exhaust the heat with till late summer when i added two exhuast fans. No i have six but i still need a way to cycle in fresh air

Two ton hasher did a great job in that video so much so that i thought i'd take it to a slightly larger/more permanent scale being in a similar climate for almost half of the year here. I'm in Australia and getting daily external temps of 25-40degC, and humidity from 60% up to 95%. I previously had 6 x 6card rigs in my double garage and the ambient temperature was always sitting around 40-50degC even after i put in an extraction fan in the roof to get the heat out over the eve. My wife hated the garage that hot so i built a shed in the back yard that is only 3m x 2m x 3m high that i thought was going to have been a waste of money with the first cooling iteration, i had only put in a wall extraction fan that did ~160m2/hr. Next attempt i built a bulkhead about 400mm square against the back wall of the shed across the entire length and put 2 x 250mm 320m2/hr bathroom exhaust fans(with room for at least 2 more) in the underneath of the bulkhead and at either end of the bulkhead on the outside i put 100x200mm vents for the hot air to evacuate. There are 3 air intake vents 100x200mm on the lower front of the shed that originally i put box fans in front of to blow the cool incoming air at the rigs however i have now removed them to do a test to see if the air would flow naturally in the vent and out the exhaust without extra fans and the internal temp has dropped ~5degC. I have thermal sensors on the intake, outtake and middle racks of the shed and I am averaging 15degC difference on the incoming temps to the outgoing temps. There is very little noise from these exhaust fans, now i have no idea how long they will last being on 24/7 so time will tell but i'm happy to replace $20 ceiling exhaust fans every few months than deal with loud commercial fans. So far i think heat is under control so time to add a few more rigs and see

What kind of power usage on the bathroom exhaust fans? If you have enough air being pushed out of an area, you don't really need fans for instake anyway as it will be pulled in naturally. (That's how my setup is) The guy in florida, two ton hasher, does great stuff on his porch, if youve got a porch to do it i'd go with that.

Hey guys, big fan of the vibe here...I have been doing some insane research but still have no clear result, as to what path to take. PROBLEM: I need to get my 30 gpu mining cards out of my house, I live in Florida and heat is not helping with my a.c. and cost. SOLUTION INTENDED: place rigs in my garage. I need ideas as to how to vent the rigs in my garage. My issue is garage has no windows, just the garage door. And also my HOA is a b i t c h with doing mods. I was thinking venting out thru the garage roof but I bet the air coming out will be loud. My neighbors are close. Any ideas? Pics: https://imgur.com/gallery/Q3UAmIam sorry you said there is no window in the garage but cant you open a window (i cannot see the picture of the garage because it doesn't work) or get some kind of a desert airconditioning it could help out in this hot weather And please if you found a better soluation dont histate to share it with us because i suffer from the same problem my self

attic gable style fans from home depot (Amazon as them $40 cheaper) will get you 1300+CFM exhaust. I just put 2 in my Mining Shed. I live in Texas and temps in my area have gotten to 85-90F already this year for multiple days in a row.
Cards stayed about 50-65C inside the shed. Hottest cards were in the middle of all the rigs too.
Exhausting more hot air is the key to managing Temps. A/C should be a last solution imo (more electric and can mess with humidity levels if fans go out)

Air conditioning is certainly not an option. He will never be able to compensate for heating from the work of the GPU. It is also important that the work of the air conditioner will increase the power consumption. It is necessary to properly direct the air flow for better circulation. This must be done by the experts. In the organization of ventilation is of great importance even the location of air vents.

As much exhaust as you can stuff in there. Don't even consider cooling until you've done all that you can with the exhaust side. Then, if you want to run AC to drop the miner's intake air temps, so be it. I'd recommend an evap type of cooler rather than an air conditioner, far less amperage diverted.
