I've drafted a business plan to start a bitcoin based based Groupon.

It would be a great opportunity to get people interested in bitcoin, help bitcoin businesses grow, and obviously, provide bitcoin users with discounts.

Before I purchase the domain and begin contacting sellers, I wanted to be sure there wasn't already a similar service in existence.

Please let me know of any if there are, and let me know anything you would like to see from it as a consumer.

Thanks!

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Interesting project, a business like this can only grow more if and when Bitcoin grows due to more businesses accepting Bitcoin.

Absolutely. But I would be targeting bitcoin based business originally, as they would need the publicity more than established businesses. Consumers could also just use groupon or one of it's many clones for larger established business.
