take a look at: http://www.nmcwatch.com/index.php?c=bpx&tf=1d
they are right now sold a round 0.020-0.025

you can buy them at https://exchange.bitparking.com/

i think its very likely that they will go up again.

(yes i own some)

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Is there any plans or is it even possible to register other TLDs using namecoin? Otherwise, I don't see it as an opportunity in anyway.

What I would like to see is a plan on how Namecoin's supporters plan to get ordinary people to use their TLDs in conjunction with the global standard.  There has to be a way to get millions of ordinary Internet users to favour namecoin TLDs to make namecoin mining worthwhile.

yes i think so, but right now the only TLD used is .bit
but the technology can handle more.

there is also some patches to dns servers, so that they support the .bit TLD. see: http://dot-bit.org/HowToBrowseBitDomains

i don't know if it will survive but i would be happy to be an early adopter.

make some very innovative service, like facebook or twitter. and put it on namecoin.
or let it slowly adopted, like bitcoin.

Yea I just bought some on a beta exchange. Seems to be a large variation in price though atm - on the exchange they were selling for as little as 0.05 but in lots of 5000 + up to 0.40 each for single units? Is the price suddenly going up because of the slowdown in Bitcoin atm?

Edit: nm I just realised thats 0.05BTC not $$ lol

If you like my post please feel free to give me some positive rep https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=18639

I bought 4525 NMC last night at an average price of .02064 NMC/BTC.  Grin

If the trend goes back down, I will buy even more. I love getting 'donations' from these temporary miners.

they are worth 0.014BTC but are selling for .028 right now, they seem to be insane over there, i thought for sure we would have reached parity by now, in 3 5 days when the difficulty rises, they could be worth as much as 0.06 as far as difficulty in mining is concerned. The price should crash temp tough, you would think, as the temp miners turn their NMC into BTC.

but who knows they are insane over there

edit: ruxum a very cool and very expensive exchange will let you buy NMCs for dollars

Wow you got ripped off! The market rate was 0.022BTC per NMC when you bought.

LOL
