I haven't seen a lot of pickpockets for a long time now, must've been because of the cameras are now everywhere.

I had my pocket picked at school by a guy who evolved into a lifelong criminal. My wallet was in my back pocket and it wasn't all the way down so the top was exposed. He bumped into me as he did it and then created a distraction by looking at someone else with a look on his face that implied the other guy had pushed him into me.

So I didn't realise for about 5 minutes later when I saw him and his mates going through my wallet.

From that day on I'm always suspicious if someone bumps into me and instantly check that my wallet is still there and I've never had my pocket picked since.

Thank God that I did not hesitate to give my bag to that thief with a gun. After that incident, I decided to bring a small bag always and not to walk by myself.

I almost do not like the way service pockets, and I do not use it. I share the experience that you should use other services pockets

Someone stole my expensive cell phone while I was at an ATM. It was done so slyly, I only realised it that evening. Off course I had very bad feelings towards that criminal, and feelings of being victimized, but I was also so furious at myself for not taking more care to hide the phone. As if that gave him permission, but that's how we are taught in this country.

Almost. He almost got something in my bag but I felt it and he just walked away. From that time, I always put my bag infront of me to avoid being robbed again.

Pickpocketing is a form of larceny that involves the stealing of money or other valuables from the person of a victim without them noticing the theft at the time. It may involve considerable dexterity and a knack for misdirection. A thief who works in this manner is known as a pickpocket.

All my life, I have not been robbed, and I haven't had any experience with a pick pocket; I really thank God for that.

I was on vacation in Paris, as I walked through a farmers market.  I was standing in line when I felt a tug at my pants.  I quickly reached back and caught a womans hand trying to pick my wallet.  I grabbed her wrist and asked her what she was doing.  She acted angry and incensed.  I tried to get attention of everyone around me and find a police officer.
