Why almost everything has to revolve around usa? Usa does that, usa doesn't do that, usa is going to crash and so on. Short lesson of history: america was discovered by europeans and colonized by them.end of lesson. If everything revolves around them we empower them to cross lines in our lives. It's like they are Earth's core but they are not! The people are earth's core. Crypto currency supposed to cut that bond but still nothing happens. If you want government independancy then stop being afraid of crypto currency.

Its an American working through English site so you will see a lot more US posts here. Most people only think about their own countries so you can expect a lot of US posts to assume that they are talking to fellow Americans and to assume that the American system is typical. I wouldn't let it bother you - but then I'm Irish so I know that the world revolves around Dublin  |

you meant debt = power right? Ok who wants to lend me 20 trillions of dollars? I promise i will never pay it back cause i will be a super power  it's just an image to be imprinted into the brains of common people. They are "powerfull" because of the support they get. |

Most Bitcoin exchange transactions use USD. ~70%. Ironically, US customers have been pushed out of most Bitcoin exchanges (both currency and securities) and casinos. Plenty of people care about BTC price, so plenty of people care about USD. It's changing. BTCChina recently posted 24h volume comparable to Gox, and the 30D CNY/RMB chunk being 13% of all is a pretty huge leap forward, so now there's another area to look at. The Euro, though, even though I know there's a lot of European Bitcoin support, and "super-pockets" of support in some areas like Berlin, and I transact frequently with those in Europe - it has only a tiny sliver of exchange transaction volume, less than 2x that of JPY. Maybe they're more prone to exchange locally, or mine and hold, or buy with gold - but you can't really shake the perception of irrelevance which comes from those charts without a dramatic spike in BTC/EUR activity. There are other reasons, too. For example, the USG is very aggressive in enforcing its own laws internationally, aggressive in demanding extradition, and seems to think it owns the Internet - so its laws (current and future) can be worth getting familiar with and tracking. |

Let's jump back 2000 years and replace the word "USA" with "Roman Empire" Why almost everything has to revolve around the Roman Empire? the Roman Empire does that, the Roman Empire doesn't do that, the Roman Empire is going to crash and so on. To know History and to know why everything is as is is never "end of story". The reason why the USA became what it is now was thanks to multiple world wars in Europe. Europe gave up spending money in their own military and intelligence and outsourced them with the CIA (almost not totally) and NATO. Everybody in Europe knew being under the Soviet umbrella was not a good thing. So while Europe was rebuilding from its own misery and ruins they were looking at a wall with barbed wires and guns, cutting Germany in half. The USA gave us Les Paul, Moog, Mac Donald, the Celtics, CBGB, the 357 Magnum, the Atari 2600, . The Soviet gave us the Lada, the UAZ 452 Minivan, the AKA 47 and the first female swimming body builder Olympic team. The Soviet Union and communism lost the battle of the 20th century and imploded under its own weight. The USA won! The Berlin wall was no more. But as any living organism, the thirst for power and control can never stop if everyone closes their eyes and stop being investigating journalists. Now we have Prism and a system of total surveillance, the Stasi's wet dream. If your age is less than 25 I understand your question. |

Actually no. China has the largest army, some 1.000.000 soldiers then USA, then USa, then India, North Korea.... Japan is the most technologically advanced country, even South Korea is more advanced then USA. Control of news and media is nothing compared to some other countries, and most of people living in USA don't even know how can news be controlled. English can point anyone to any English speaking country, some of them: UK, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, USA... So, again English ≠ USA.
