As a person who suffers from Depression and Axiety disorders, I've found that surrounding myself in an almost suffocating amount of joyus atmosphere always cheers me up. however it doesnt work for all moods

Sad=watch mlp, I simply cannot stop myself from smiling
angry= listen to sad music to change moods, then watch mlp, Or listen to "uproaring" music and get "amped up" to play a Shooter like BF3 to "blow off" the steam

Anyother moods that you have in mind?

music is also a good one! what is MLP actually?

Death, disease -> Chocolate, movies, TV shows and prescription drugs.

Love issues -> Alcohol, drugs and hookers.

For everything else -> Work!

Don't read self-help stuff, it wont help in the long run, plus the vast majority is just bullshit.

Well I will find out in a month or so!

What's wrong with having emotions?

nothing, its healthy ofcourse. But to much of anything and it becomes unhealthy

We are all different, these "advice" are just the reflections of other people experience, you need to make your own path and discover what works for you, there's no such think as a magic formula...

Perhaps try smoking weed or a moderate psychedelic.  When I battled depression, was suicidal, cannabis gave me a new perspective on life.

Using psychiatrist service may help if the emotional issues are really hurting your life or job. Otherwise, just dont worry about this

I used to get really depressed when I was a teenager, and had a lot of tantrums and outbursts; I would lash out at people and be really passive aggressive.

Nowadays I've learned how to center my emotional energy and use it to fuel my work; it's largely expended through writing and philosophy, and other times into art and music.  Whenever I experience an intense emotion (and I do, a lot), instead of dwelling on the feeling, I put it to work, and I feel much better once the emotion passes.

Meditate.  Remember, this too, shall pass.

(Sometimes, trance music helps me down that rabbit hole.)

I smoke a lot of weed. A lot. I also smoke cigarettes, unfortunately -- would like to quit eventually, but they certainly help in a pinch when dealing with high stress levels.
