In different sections, there are so many important threads and replies here.

When reading some useful threads and replies I really feel that I should mark it as very important and should have a quick access to it again.

I think there should be a bookmarking feature in every thread and reply. Every user should have quick access to his or her bookmarks in HOME, HELP, SEARCH.. bar as well.

This feature will be very useful. Any authority who sees this thread please pay their kind attention.
Please give your ideas and suggestion for improving the feature.

Even though it's nice having a such feature within the forum itself, I can't see it happening any time soon (due to the fact that you can do this with using any of the commonly used browsers [desktop and mobile versions]).

If bookmarking a post is the issue, you can simply click the #number link at the top right corner of any post > A unique link is given (as seen at the top of the page [it goes to that exact location]) > Then simply save it as a bookmark.

Why don't you just use your browser's bookmark feature?
Chrome, Opera and Firefox in particular have the "cloud save" feature which synchronize all your bookmarks among all of your supported devices.

Or, Go to your Profile->"Notifications & Email" and disable "Automatically watch topics after replying to them".
This way, you can manually add those useful threads to the "watchlist" shortcut above. (You have to "unwatch" the old topics you previously replied, though)

For threads, you have the "watchlist".

For a single post, you may just give it 1 merit, it'll then show up in your "recent merit sent" page (unfortunately, only for 120 days).
Maybe it'd be a good idea to be able to see all merited posts forever, that would kind of "bookmark" them and at the same time incentivize you to leave merit.

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

I am currently using browser bookmarks. But there should be a such feature in a forum. Easier ,  Simpler and quicker than browser bookmarks. Someone can loose all the browser bookmarks. Most of the forums and social media sites provide the proposed feature.

I currently use the browser bookmarks. But if the forum itself provide the feature and access to the bookmarks through my profile it is lot more easier and simpler. Implementing such a feature is not very difficult.

Cheesy Cheesy I know how the browser's bookmarks works. What i am proposing is more useful.
Watch list is needed. It's not a good idea to disable automatically watch topics as well.

What exactly do you mean by "watch list", there's already a "Watch" function implemented. What are you missing about that?

Also your function might be nice, but as others have mentioned, you can also just make a bookmark tab in which you categorize certain topics you bookmarked ( eg technical ones vs meta posts about rules).

there! we already have watchlist, it's up there above menu list
you just need to figure out how to use the watchlist effectively to your specific needs
then you can use "Edit watchlist" as bookmark list Grin and remove any whenever you need
for me, that watchlist emulates bookmark functionality good enough Wink

And more load on the databases to contain all the bookmarked posts of an individual: let's not forget that.

A comparison to watchlists as a refutation does not work because there are far more posts than there are threads. If you want to strain the size, then you could create accounts to bookmark a huge number of posts.
