Dear Friends,

starting from 05th of September we are forced to increase the minimum percentage of service fee on using Beta and Gamma pools since our costs to support these pools have increased significantly.

We hope the nearest future we will find a solution that will allow us to reduce our costs and service percentage.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,
BestMixer Team

Dear Friends,

we would like to share with you the result of our recent work:

- the design of the main page of the clearnet version of our website has been upgraded
- the design of the main page of the .onion version of our website has been upgraded
- translation of the website texts into all languages has been updated
- SEO optimization of all pages of the website has been carried out
- verification and correction of all texts on the website has been performed by a professional editor
- "Testimonials" section has been updated
- section "Press" section has been updated
- section "Videos" section has been updated
- section "Fees" section has been updated
- new "News & Blog" section has been added
- our editor has published 11 articles about cryptocurrencies in the "News & Blog" section
- "Contacts" section has been updated, email for feedback has been added
- FAQ section has been updated, new FAQ section has been added

Major updates are:

- we have completely redesigned the API module, updated the documentation, changed the limits; now to get the api key you need to register in the affiliate program

- we have updated protection against DDOS and optimized all modules of the system

- we have added DNSSEC support.
Recently, some vulnerabilities have been discovered in DNS that allow an attacker to intercept the process of searching by the name of a person or host on the Internet. The purpose of the attack is to take control of the session, for example, to direct a user to an attacker's website to obtain an account and password. These vulnerabilities have led to the need to implement a technology called DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC) to protect this part of the Internet infrastructure.
None of our competitors have added DNSSEC support...

- we have carried out numerous optimizations and improvements of all internal modules of the system

- our team has developed a fundamentally new engine for working with cryptocurrency nodes, we called it "ASYC" (remember this name, in the future you will hear about it Smiley ). This engine uses a completely new programming model, which, due to concepts such as asynchrony, clustering and multithreading, will allow our system to work thousands of times faster and process an exorbitant number of transactions. At its core, this engine is a multi-currency online wallet, really fast, secure and reliable. This engine will allow us to add new cryptocurrencies in a short time and work with them, in particular in our plans, first of all, the introduction of Ethereum.
In the near future it is planned to announce.

- we have added a new "Partnership Program" section.
From today, we plan to pay 50% of our income to our partners, if the order was received by their reference link. To register for the affiliate program you need to fill out a simple form where you should specify your payments addresses, your email and the resource where you plan to place your referral link.
Everything is simple.
As a resource it can be any website, blog, forum, social network or youtube channel. In other words, any information resource where it is possible to place your referral link.

There is a link to our affiliate program: https://bestmixer.io/en/partner

In addition to the referral link, our partners can request an API key to work with the rest-api of our service.

Thank you for staying with us,
BestMixer Team

Dear Friends,

BestMixer would like to present you a new advertising technology invented by our mixer. Smiley

In short, every day we send to bitcoin wallets of all active users a noticeable amount of 0.00000888 BTC, which is accompanied by a comment about BestMixer service. All details are below.

Given that BestMixer is an anonymous project, our advertising methods are severely limited.
We thought about alternative ways of advertising our project.
And our team came up with a new method of advertising, the essence of which is described below. Probably in the future this method will become very popular among users of cryptocurrency too.

The essence of the advertising approach (Technical part):

1. Preparation of the sending address

First, it is necessary to generate an attractive bitcoin address. The official address of the service BestMixer.IO - 1BestMixVhna91MkP7pKRtjej3bFq6Ze46
This can be done with a free utility for generation of bitcoin addresses: Vanitygen (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Vanitygen)

2. Naming of addresses in the blockchain explorers

For example, consider explorer BTC.COM and Blockchain.com
BTC.COM allows to assign a note to each transaction. For example, on a page  https://btc.com/6e0cad7a0b5387fc5ffd1a7a2fecfa275ef3a7ea4060357cfe9f12dad9a18181
there is the ‘Note' contains the following text: ‘✔️ BESTMIXER.IO ✔️ MIX YOUR BITCOINS TO STAY SAFE AND PROTECTED! ✔️ https://youtu.be/ZHYDTKpTkCs
To add such a note for your transactions, you can use the special feature available at https://btc.com/tools/tx/public-note

In Blockchain.com it's much easier. In this service, unlike BTC.COM, there is no need to sign each transaction, but you can sign all the transactions and address at once. For instance, if you visit the page https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1BestMixVhna91MkP7pKRtjej3bFq6Ze46, you will see ‘BESTMIXER.IO - BITCOIN MIXER’ instead of the address ‘1BestMix...’. The feature is available at https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tags

So what’s the outcome?

The recipient sees an unexpected transfer of the 'conspicuous' amount of 0.00000888 BTC, the sender's address begins with ‘1BestMix...’. Full information on this address can be obtained by entering it into a popular blockchain explorer. In addition, any search engine will show the address of the site BestMixer.io if anybody requests this address in it.

3. Preparation of recipients’ addresses and sending

We divided this stage into two parts: one-time sending and constant sending.

The one-time sending includes the top 10 000 addresses with the largest balance in the bitcoin blockchain. Information about such addresses can be found on the website https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html.

The second stage will last for several days. It includes constant analysis of all active addresses and constant sending. In the case of BestMixer.IO, each new block in the bitcoin blockchain is scanned, all its transactions are analyzed, a list of all recipients’ addresses is collected, these addresses are sorted by the transfer amounts (at the same time, BestMixer.IO chooses addresses that have received more than 0.25 BTC), and then the sending is made to these addresses.

Thus, BestMixer.IO advertises its project for all active users in the bitcoin blockchain with a balance from $1500. At the moment, more than 75000 addresses are included in the daily sending list. Daily the cost of such advertising is approximately equal to 0.65 BTC or $4500.

We are confident this innovative method of information distribution will have a significant impact on the development of advertising technologies in the crypto-currency sphere. Perhaps, after the widespread use of such advertising technology, along with the payment you will also receive a dozen more advertising transactions, so that you pay attention to this or that product.  That is, from now on advertisers will pay you personally to view their ads.
We are very pleased to note that we were the first to implement this method, the idea of which, at first glance, lays on the surface. Thanks to blockchain technology for this opportunity.

Best regards,
BestMixer Team

Samouri Wallet and a few others seem to be calling it a "dusting attack", designed to link addresses together through the use of multiple UTXOs from different addresses.

That *might* be going against the message that people should mix their coins using your site since you're the one reducing their privacy for advertisement.

I do not see any information leak in the "888" UTXOs since they are sending them to so many addresses, the addresses are only related as a large arbitrary class (all addresses above a certain value threshold, etc.) and they not attempting to "tag" all addresses in a specific wallet.

All this does is link all the dusted addresses back to their sending address, which is well known and is dusting the entire UTXO set in a known arbitrary way.

The reasoning behind a dusting attack is that you can compromise your privacy when you make a transaction.

Say you have 3 addresses holding 1000 Bitcoin each. Let's call the addresses 1A, 1B and 1C.
You receive 888 Satoshi on each address, and want to buy a pizza. If your wallet chooses to pay 0.01 Bitcoin from the large UTXO on address 1A, and add the 888 Satoshi from 1A, 1B and 1C to consolidate them, it becomes known that 1A, 1B and 1C are owned by the same person.

This can of course be prevented by manually selecting which inputs to use ("Coin control" in Bitcoin Core, also possible in Electrum and no doubt in many other wallets), but I can imagine not everybody uses it.

I see your point and you are correct for any legacy wallets that behave this way.

I only use HD wallets and I believe this is not an issues for any well designed HD wallet since it will only use multiple input addresses when it must (when the output is larger than is available in one address).  In this case even if there is no dust the two (or more) HD addresses required to fulfill the output will be tied together by the transaction itself.  The addition of dust to each of the inputs does not tie them together any more than the transaction without dust does.

I see one small timing related issue, assuming an HD wallet:

1) HD address n is discovered and queued to be "tagged" with the dust.
2) HD address n+1 is discovered and queued to be also tagged with the dust.
3) Before the dust arrives HD address n is spent with no tie to address n+1.
4) The dust arrives on both addresses
5) Now a spend of address n+1 happens
6) The wallet will probably spend the dust on address n, the dust on n+1 and the rest of n+1

So in this case n and n+1 are tied together in a case where they would not normally have been tied together - due to the timing of the arrival of the dust, but remember that these two addresses would have been tied together anyway if the first spend had been large enough to "overflow" into n+1.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Is this the result of your advertising/spam/dust campaign? See How to isolate dust transactions? Recent spam/tracking dust transactions.:
I have many addresses that have been attacked with this tracking dust. I use Tails OS with electrum. How can I mark or spend just these inputs? Is it possible with electrum? If not, is it possible to do on Tails OS with a different client? I prefer to use only a live OS in a secure environment, I do not take risks with my btc lightly.

I see several severe drawbacks of your method. Although spamming the blockchain can probably get you new users and more revenue, it's quite unethical. Not only are you increasing the blockchain by making 75000 dust transactions, the receiving party will have to add much more bytes to his transaction to get rid of the dust inputs.
The only real way to stop this are higher fees, which is undesirable for many users.

In case anyone wants to use this mixer, they're currently likely having issues.
I submitted payment to input address, had 2 output addresses.

Based on delay, one of output addresses should go out. I'm waiting for 60minutes for now and there's no transaction and the status of the output says "immediately" since almost an hour.

I used this mixer before and everything was fine. However now something is wrong...

Sent inquiry to support. Will update post if it get resolved.

Anyone else having similar issues with getting funds from this mixer?
