It got to the ridiculous, people do not hope to recapture invested 5450 pounds, people are already just want to get this iron box Box.
if they are not going to ship a miner, why they do not say why .... pull the cat's eggs

Has anyone actually received that email from alpha? Or is it a fake e-mail? Because on the forums a bunch of purchasers have not received the Refund e-mail.

Yea, i also received dat email, aint fake. I have requested full refund back in July and after this i have filed my claim.
I am not interested in partial refund, i only accept 100% refund.
I too received this e-mail and was one of the customers that has paid 100% in full.  Sadly, I made my payment(s) entirely in BTC.  I have also been sending e-mails periodically requesting a full refund and hinting at legal action should it not happen.  My next e-mail to them will more than likely be from my lawyer.

One big deadline I see coming for them is the payment of their VAT.

Their financial year end is 31st August.

https://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/alpha-technology-(int)

They need to have their VAT return filed and normally paid too by 7th October.

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/managing/returns-accounts/deadlines.htm

If they don't have the money, they will likely shut down and then you will probably never stand a chance of getting your money back.

It may also be worth calling or mailing Manchester Trading Standards

http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/manchester/

Manchester Trading Standards Tel 08454 04 05 06 (9am to 5pm)

If they get loads of calls there is a good chance they will investigate.

Interesting the only 2 things at this address from:

https://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/alpha-technology-(int)

is Saddique & Co. Accounting

and

Saints Solicitors LLP

Both these places I would not walk into...unless I was trying to hide money..then I would need guns too..(the guns to keep the proprietors honest)

If you are looking for debt collection, AND you have a court judgement, then you may want to consider asking these bailiffs: http://thesheriffsoffice.com/.

I once had them come after me (well, not after me personally, someone had given a false address) but they were very persistent and very professional (when I gave them evidence that I wasn't the right person).  It might be worth approaching them.

The big problem that people have, is that as alpha is a limited company, you can only go after the company's UK assets (of which there are likely none). You cannot go after the people in alpha.

I really think the only option left is for someone to file a petition for involuntary bankruptcy against the company, because this is the only option that will actually hurt the people behind alpha. While you can't force the people to pay up personally, because a bankruptcy penalty is so damaging, they may well pay up personally to avoid the personal consequences.

This is absolutely right.

However, i made a claim against Mr Mohamed Akram too.... and i am just requesting judgment as his defence was struck out. Reason i went for him personally is i believe HE defrauded me and i was going to prove it. Don't need to now. Still, have a judgment against him and AT.

@Mo Akram, Bend over buddy. I have two or three 300+lbs cock for you. The sheriffs are coming. And I do hope it is you you that has the infamous ferrari.

Queue- Twisted Sister - Were not going to take it.

From the Alpha-T forums : apparently some Alpha-T customers received this email today:

Quote
Hello,

Whilst you are passed our refund period we are able to refund you your full 30% deposit as a gesture of goodwill. Please understand this has been no small undertaking and the vast majority of the funds have now gone into the production of these devices and to expect anything higher this late in the process is not realistic as the funds simply aren't there.

If you paid via a bank transfer/bitcoin please provide your bank details if you agree to this full and final settlement and if you paid via PayPal simply confirm you agree to this full and final settlement. For an international bank we will need an IBAN and/or an account number, a swift code and/or your banks address, your account name and address. Please try to provide all or as much of this information as possible in case we run into any issues to save us from having to email again to ask for it. For a UK bank we will only need your account number, sort code, your account name and address.

 Regards,

Alpha Technology

There seems to be some doubt what this means for customers who paid 100%.

It reads to me like Alpha-T are in legal damage control mode now.

If their claim that 'the vast majority of the funds have now gone into the production of these devices' is true then where are the devices and/or parts inventory  and could they be liquidated to provide higher refunds to customers ?

It is looking more and more like the right thing to do is to force the company into the hands of a receiver.

oh I thought was a gesture of goodwill.  now it's a "full and final settlement."

never saw that coming.  \sarcasm

These pusbags are as predictable as can be.  They know they're up shit's creek with their silly "you're a business" defense.  They likely have few if any parts (I haven't seen photos of any) and are likely simply going to fade away.

This is a logical step in a scam.  Pay back 30% of what you've taken from people, call it a full and final settlement in an attempt to strip them of any rights going forward and then pocket the remainder.

I do hope people organize and take these people to court.

At this point, I'd be surprised to discover that they originally intended to build a miner.

Given what we all now know, which are the most likely statements about Alpha-T ?
5) They started out with good intentions but became a scam after tape-out problems
9) They are honorable men who failed to accomplish their goals

What are the chances that Alpha-T deliver a working 250 Mh/s Viper in the next 8 working days ?
2) 30%

What are the chances that any Alpha-T customers who paid 100% receives more than 15 cents on the dollar in settlement ?
5) 99%

What are the chances that any Alpha-T customer ever pre-orders a miner from another company in the future ?
2) 30%

It is also unclear if this 'final settlement' means you also get no miner.

These people really are utterly ridiculous.

Lay out the terms, dumbshits.

I took 100 from you for a miner.  here's 30 and no miner.  seems fair to me.

another stunt from Mubashtard, who thinks he's the most clever guy in the room, and really is nothing more than an average scammer.  As an engineer/production/development person he clearly sucks.

so he's all puffed up and smart as a whip in his own mind, while in reality he is just an average shitbag.  really not even all that good at that either.  mommy must be so proud.

Bought my 250mh on ebay for about 10k. I'm supposed to take $3k and and be content... if that's what these latest emails are implying. Anyone spineless enough to go through with this is giving them exactly what they want. We need to hold strong, ban together and take the proper legal action. ONE WEEK.

The other obvious fact is that end of Q3 is about 8 days from now.  They promised to ship these by end of this quarter worst-case as their own words will easily prove.

When they don't people will be entitled to 100% refund.  Those that went through a CC or paypaal will get it back no question.  those that go to court will also have a stronger position.

As if their illegal "you're a business" claim isn't enough they'll be outside their own window.

and where is the money?  if it was all spent on production where exactly are the parts.

this stinks like a dead animal out in the summer heat.  he's trying to pull some shit here.

I'm with you bob, I left more papertrail at their offices today, but even though I've paid in FULL since early june, they still show my account pending, and will NOT reply to me, and have since banned me from their forums, I will spend a LOT of money on lawyers, flights, brass knuckles, or whatever it takes to equalize this on behalf of everyone who is being bent over by these pricks
