We have noticed that the value of bitcoin is depreciating this few weeks and over 60 billion dollars have been wiped out in the value of cryptocurrency due the slide of bitcoins value. So what are the possible factors that contributed to the downfall of bitcoins value recently, here are some reasons according to this article; https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/15/bitcoin-price-over-60-billion-wiped-off-value-of-cryptocurrencies.html

1. Google's announcement of banning cryptocurrency related ads
2. Large selling of BTC by MT. Gox

I actually agree to the article that these two are the main culprit on the downfall of bitcoins value. Let us wait and see if bitcoin can overcome such hurdles this coming months.

Certainly the points that you've cited surely affects bitcoin, but it is not something that is detrimental to bitcoin since it is already strongly founded in the economy. bitcoin sinks because it is being used in trade business to which values flow and is affected by so many factors weigh in such pump of tokens derived from it, its utility and such..

The price of bitcoins is determined by supply and demand. When the demand for bitcoins increases, so does the price, and when demand falls, the price falls. In circulation there is a limited number of bitcoins, and new bitcoins are created with a predictable and constantly decreasing rate, which means that demand must follow this inflation rate so that the price is stable. Since Bitcoin is still a relatively small market, compared to what it can become, it does not take large sums of money to move the price in the market up or down, and therefore the price of bitcoins is still very volatile.

As I know several companies have already brought  in an action against google and they are protesting their financial development rights. For me its true that there are a lot of ponzi schemes and pyramids but people mustn't make decisions without knowledge and researches. They know that there are a big risk in every business, especially here... Anyway, may this case has a future and  court's decision may be good for investors and for people who are looking at new projects.
as for MT.Gox its fact that they have sold a huge amount, despite the fact we will see bitcoin rise again its not a catastrophe..

I think the biggest reason is that rumors circulating around the G20 that bitcoin could be blocked around the world with established alliances. I suspect that is why mtGox has released a very large volume of bitcoin. That is the real downfall.
facebook, google not support for bitcoin ads is also a minus point for investor psychology. It is a consequence of panic.

I think the reasons can be different from the fact that we are not particularly active in buying bitcoin before the momentum that the system was hacked and the prices decreased.

From the beginning of 2018, Bitcoin, as well as the entire cryptocurrencies market, has faced a lot of negative news from the governments of the states issuing a ban on cryptocurrencies. That makes investors worried about the future of cryptos, which led to panic selling, steady decline in Bitcoin as well as altcoins rates. Google and Facebook also announced they would ban ICO-related ads and cryptocurrencies on their social networks.

I think the real reason may not be because of the two, as is known to all, the influence of national policy for the bitcoin is huge, so the next G20 meeting of unstable policy is the real cause of the bitcoin down.
I agree, everybody is waiting G20 decisions.
