Just used my profits iv made from mining to buy some more gear, Got water cooling kits this time.
Saw there was a special on for Antec KUHLER H2O 620, CPU cooler so bought 2 of them over the weekend before reading any review since stock was limited and they were selling quickly.

While it was coming got a chance to read review on it and it didn't support my cpu socket so that got me a bit worried but once it arrived today it wasn't too hard to fit to my 939 socket.
Just needed to trim off the extra hole bits so they didnt short anything out and bend the mounting bracket in a bit.
Getting it onto the cpu was a bit harder, but got it to fit using a piece of coper with holes drilled to mount it to the gfx card then some more holes drilled to fit the water cooler on.

Well here are my results with temps.

CPU:
Was running a Thermaltake Blue Orb 2
Idle temp 30C full load 55C

Now with the water cooler
idle temp 11C full load 25C

GPU
Stock sapphire cooler hd6850 1.22V 1040mhz core.
Idle temp 36C full load 73C

Now with the water cooler
idle temp 15C full load 38C

Dont have any ram sinks yet but ram only gets warm to the touch mining but will need some before I game with this set up.
Also need to get a better cooler for my chip set since its getting up to 55C at full load since the cpu cooler isnt blowing onto it now

Just 2X Antec KUHLER H2O 620, CPU cooler kits.
Were for sale for $69 ech.

Mounts to
• Intel sockets LGA 1366, 1155, 1156, 775
• AMD sockets AM3+, AM2+, AM3, AM2

Was easy enough to adapt to 939, Used the stock backing plate with the mobo then used the screw extenders that came with the blue orb 2. Took the intel mount bent the 2 opposing screw holes in another 5-10mm and cut off the 2 extra.

adapting it to the gpu was a bit more work. Took 3mm thick coper plate drilled holes so the amd socket mount holes lined up with it then trimmed it to that size. Then drilled 4 more holes to match the gpu mounting holes. Used some screws I had in garage then soldered them in place and milled the heads flat. Then just bolted it all up together.
Mounted the 2 radiators to each other with the fans eather side sucking in at the front and blowing out at the back on to the gfx card so the pmw and ram still have some air flow over them.

If I was to do it again id use more coper on the gfx card so it makes contact with the ram as well but im just going to get some ram heat sinks tomorrow.

I could of probably pieced together cheap parts so there was only 1 larger radiator but Id rather have a sealed off the shelf kit at this price since its at least Iv got a warranty for if it leaks and damages anything.

Is your room temperature below 11C or are you using some other type of cooling as well? Otherwise, I don't understand how you can archive an idle temperature that low.

Yes, 11 degrees celcius is 50 degrees fahrenheit. Unless you're living in Siberia, that isn't your real temperature

You should run gpu-z to see your VRM temperature. I also tried watercooling and gpu tem was ok, but I saw a very dangerous trend about VRM overheating, with stockcooling fan, the VRMs are at 65c maximum, but with watercooling , they will easily top 85c, even with a ram heatsink attached and a 120mm fan blowing to the card

Temp in the room was 2C yesterday.
Its up to 6C today but full load is just sitting on 26C cpu and gpu is at 40C.
Not going to test idle since that means stopping all my mining for a hour.

GPU temp 2/3 in gpuz are getting up to 75C, stock cooling the sat around 80C but they were getting heated by the gpu I suspect.
Cleaned the chipset cooler and new thermal compound but its still getting to 50C which is the hottest part of my PC now. Its a nforce 4 and from google searching they are meant to be good up to 60C with there max safe temp being 70C

Live in New Zealand its, winter at the moment. Looking out my window I can see snow on the mountain and the wind was coming from that direction yesterday.

Your GPU temps are kind of high given your ambient temperature. My GPU loads are the same at 28c ambient.

Especially with a 11c idle. What TIM did you use?

They are comparable to the idle and stock cooling since that was tested the same day at the same air temp.
Would of hated to see what the temps would of been like in summer when it gets up 28C with the old stock cooling.

Got the chipset temp down but moving the radiator to the top of the pc and cutting a hole to mount it, Now the front fan can get air around the chip set, Has been sitting at 40C full load and also bought the gpu2/3 temps down since same fan blows on gfx card.

PWM is getting up in temp now 48C up from 41C so its now the hottest part, so ill need to get some heat sinks for that, Or some cable ties might help since the cables are blocking air flow to it.

Just the stock TIM that came on the cooler, and just some budget stuff on the coper plate on the gpu.
Would be better if pumps were on full time and I used high grade TIM but im more then impressed with the results for 138NZD (119USD)

CPU pump turns off at 25C since thats the lowest point I could get the cpu pin header to enable and I didnt want to wire it directly to the 12V since it would be noisy then.
No idea the exact point the gpu pump is turning off but I cant hear it till 30C and Id rather not mess around with the fan setting in trixx when its running 1/4 the temp it use to run.

I once hit 4GHz (*edit* oops, 3GHz actually, http://imageshack.us/f/183/3000pi329qp.jpg/ ) on my old athlon by leaving the window open in the middle of winter when I lived in yellowknife (that's in northen canada) but I had to stop from fear of the pipes bursting...

I guess it can really be done during the winter (as it is now in NZ and Australia), great for mining. If it's a home operation though, living in that room would be nearly impossible
