I believe 54.3 uBTC is the minimum amount you can send. How can Bunny Run http://boklund.nu/bunnyrun/ send less than that? For example, https://blockchain.info/tx/4e5ecd0b4eced99cf62a09f83c0d3ff0c77d5673738874b876ae5727bbee8ca4

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Thats not the minmum, 1 satoshi is the minimum. They also batch send which makes the outputs higher

But does he need to pay transaction fees for that? wouldn't the fee be more expansive that what he is giving?

it's allowed. see bold parts:
Quote
Payments (transaction outputs) of 0.543 times the minimum relay fee (0.00005430 BTC) are now considered 'non-standard', because storing them costs the network more than they are worth and spending them will usually cost their owner more in transaction fees than they are worth. Non-standard transactions are not relayed across the network, are not included in blocks by most miners, and will not show up in your wallet until they are included in a block. The default fee policy can be overridden using the -mintxfee and -minrelaytxfee command-line options

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
