the "drastic decreases" that you have been seeing are normal stage of a pump and dump market. they are simply getting dumped and their bubbles are starting to burst.
usually it has so little to do with the news because altcoins are moving somewhat in another universe!
sometimes some news like ICO bans can affect altcoins like ether which live on ICOs existence but these examples are rare.

The surest option will always be bitcoin, all altcoins price depends about its.
So if you want invest only in the surest coin choose btc.
But remeber, no coin is in 100% sure, and always there is a risk of loss, that's how cryptocurrencies work

If you already have trading experience in the crypto currency market, then you will agree that it is difficult to overestimate the influence of news on the changing market situation.
Even unsubstantiated rumors about possible prohibitions on the conduct of ICO or crypto-currency trade for residents of different countries can cause a strong drop in the price of bitcoin, and together with it, all the altcoins.
Therefore, throwing different, even fake news, you can easily manipulate the crypto market.

I think that fake news is very dangerous for cryptocurrencies, because it affects the course of lots of coins, mostly negative.

First of all, bitcoin's price has a lot of impact on altcoin's price, so usually altcoins are going up when bitcoin goes up, because it shows strength of the market.
beside that, altcoin's price is being impacted by news of the development team and hype about the coin.
Usually the price is being driven by unexpected indicators.

I noticed that the news has an influence only in the direction of the trend. If the trend is bullish then have an effect only positive news when the trend is bearish, the matter only negative news.

Fake news is a really global problem for the whole cryptocommunity, because it's very difficult to deal with this and many traders are liable to panic when they find something on the Internet ..

FUD and scam are two reasons for all the troubles in the crypt and in fact it's hard for me to say what's worse - fake news or scammers because both has a big effect on the coin rate.

Crypto market in general is still relatively new so the news and manipulation is still very high, i think it will take more time before the markets get more stable and mature.

How long do you think it will take?

Usually, negative news brings the market to a slumber, hindering expected growth. Just consider a coin like DeepOnion which has a lot going both for and against it. In this situation, the price tends to swing a lot both ways, with the negatives dragging the prices further below.

that depends on the investor portfolio of that altcoin. if the investors are holding it for short-term gains or they are emotionally attached to the coin, they won't really care much about the negative news, so you wouldn't see the impacts right away.

A good strategy will be to invest in 1-2 coins in which you believe and keep them for a long time.I would advise you to look at the etherium  Wink

Unless the news targets a specific alt coin, then the effect is massive, otherwise the effect is equally spread throughout the market. Mostly the coin that suffers the most is the one which has been pumped extensively. When mtgox decided to sell all of his bitcoin, a lot of negativity was spread throughout the market and market ended up taking a major hit.

Negative news always impact altcoin we should see the severity of the news Centra is the biggest example after SEC arrested the owners coin value decreased and reached 0.12 USD even i dint sell by not knowing severity of news soon delisted form all major exchanges . Now value became nearly nothing.

Yes, at the current stage of crypto world development, the influence of the negative news is massive. This also might be organized by very big investors or investment corporations who have interest in spreading the negative news. But I think that with coming years this influence will decrease greatly as more traders will be joining this fast-growing market. And At some stage, we will come to a situation when the main role in crypto prices fluctuations will be played by technical analysis and not fundamental.

what is the impact of negative news that the world has on alt coin today

very influential or not at all

because I see a lot of coins that experienced a drastic decrease and some even more severe

then which coin can survive that can withstand the negative news attack

I want to try to invest in a condition like this it seems good to see a lot of price reductions on alt coins and I can buy it and I will hold it for the long term

but if the price slumped I would definitely have a lot of losses and I would lose a lot of money

how to overcome the current situation and what steps I should do because I want certainty

Some coins is very discouraging and this is making some people to back off in crypto. My experience is that the coin has no value. But being a positive person i am not giving up becs. I know i will have my chance.
