Again we are getting through another correction so don't expect that the price will just increase in an unstoppable manner.

Yes everyone should bare in mind that we can't go on a parabolic rise.

But this makes sense that there is something behind these price ups and downs. They don't want to let it land at $10k so that they can buy more bitcoin. We don't have to worry about as these whales also wanted to see bitcoin stays at high prices soon. Holding makes sense during these times.

I'm also thinking that they might be external forces that don't want bitcoin to reach $10K. How close we are yesterday? The last time I checked its about $9950 and I go to sleep thinking that tomorrow will be a new day, and seeing $10K again. But to my surprise it started to decline and continue to $9500.

Are you really just getting to know this? There are whales in every market due to their huge positions and they are referred to as the main market makers. That is their life and that is how they make shit loads of money and the idea is to always use market movement to instigate trader and investors reaction in the market for their own gains which we have seen several times, but it is a normal thing.

So close mate, damn so close.  But it looks like it is starting to rise again and hopefully this 2nd wave will be the phase that will allow bitcoin hit $10k. I know that feeling and I've been travelling all day long and as I go home, the price went down but this didn't made me upset. It can be another wave of dip so let's see if it can reach to 3rd wave or so forth until it gets serious to $10k and gets stable there.

I think the WHALES are the manipulators of shifting price of bitcoin and alt coins
Why?
Because whales are buying huge amount of coin, in this case there will be a sharp rise in prices and also because of this demand will increase and many investors will be able to invest, so  the outcome is,WHALES had a large profit on their money or capital, i think this is why the alternative currency increases.
and after they buy it they will sell their coins that will cause a sudden fall in its price of alt coins.

therefore we must always be on time to make decisions. such as when we go in to buy and when we go out to sell every investment we have
