Question About Bitcoin Fork

Hello.
I'm walking on github and i find a lot of fork from bitcoin or dash is nice  
on many altcoin the total money supply is 21 000 000 like bitcoin finded in amount.h but in their website is note the same !!!!
is a simple copy an past foolishly or iam wrong ..
