It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I withdrew the coins I had on bitfunder via weex without any problems on Oct 23rd. It was only about 20 BTC, but it went through to my wallet just fine. Both the funder to weex and weex to me legs were quick.

Withdrew 7 BTC around 2 weeks ago (so almost a week after the announcement on BitFunder) from BF to WE to my wallet. All transfers went through instantly.

Withdrew my last 40 BTC from there on 14th October - had withdrawn a larger amount a week or so earlier.  Both went through smoothly at both stages (I'm not verified).

Heads up:

This morning I withdrew a small amount (<0.5 BTC) and it went through immediately.

However I just tried to withdraw approx. 12 BTC and I got the dreaded "Error contacting 2nd stage server" error. Transaction in "Processing" status.

For what it's worth, this happened to me several months ago. A large transfer of BTC out got 'stuck' for over 24 hours.

This is way before all the bitfunder issues and conspiracy theories of late.

My guess is that its actually either a technical issue within the site, or else there is a need for withdrawing from a cold wallet.

Either way, this is not a new thing suddenly occuring ... its an old issue, and it got resolved.

Now this morning I can't even log into weexchange.

Enter username, password, and 2-factor code... hit submit, after a few seconds, back to home page and fields empty.

BitFunder says CloudFlare for me i.e. a DDoS? or too much load?

Same here..ugh, banged my head against a wall for 30 mins panicking that someone had somehow got into both of mine and changed my passwords/G-Auth's.  Though if both are now dissapearing, i suppose that isn't much better.

Ukyo's last post (yesterday, in another thread) was:

Quote
I know and apologize. I am one person trying to handle a number of things on many different fronts.

A lot of things are time sensitive right now and I am trying to meet the current expectations of those needs.

I appreciate your understanding and patience in these matters.

...explains a lot. Hope he regains control.
