Torzsy setup a stratum TAG pool too at: tag.cryptominer.net Smiley

I'm mining there with one of my rigs now Smiley

Create an account and point your worker at:

Code:
-o stratum+tcp://tag.cryptominer.net:3359 -u workername.1 -p x

This pool is on the right chain!
(and let's hope it stays there  Grin)

So far so good!
8 blocks found already Smiley

1 of them was just found by me  Grin

I saw it Smiley

Thanks; I see the mobile phone activation is also working now - was still yielding an error yesterday.
Your site speaks of a South African representative office - where is this located? I love the idea of finally having a cryptocurrency that might end up being usable in my country.

Is this gonna be usable in south Africa? Flip that would be awesome!!  Grin

Ah, a fellow African Cheesy!
Where in SA are you located?

m right above yall'z with Mugabe here

My condolences regarding his re-election. You must be in one of the few countries where altcoins are regarded as more stable than the national currency!

In Cape Town, we've had a heat wave the past two days; I sleep in the same room as my mining rig, so the combination is absolutely killing me! How are you dealing with your mining heat up there?

Cape town as well  Grin im not a miner, so I guess it's a bit better then. It's still scorching right now though, I dont know how you do it lol  Grin

@compwindsor - We are setting up our own exchange this week at tagcash.net, based in Makati. We will be taking in 8 major currencies to buy BTC, TAG and other coins we think would do well there. Crypto pair trading will of course be there as well.
There will be no transaction charges on trades. Just a fixed fee of USD$15 on deposits and USD$25 on withdrawal.

We will also be added to http://bter.com, mainly to promote TAG and Tagbond on the Chinese market. We haven't approached other exchanges yet.

"Pow/PoS hybrid (1.5% yearly interest, PoS blocks generated after 30 days of coin age)"

For this wallet constantly must be turned on?
And if you turn off wallet at 12 o'clock, week, in such a case, how is calculated 30 days?

My wallet can't sync. Is there a split in the network? I'm stuck at block 500.

That is the height of the fork...
You should delete all your block db and peer data (without deleting the wallet) and resync.

Initially, I kept my computer in a Dairy Belle crate my brother found at the beach. Had seagull shit stains that were impossible to wash out. It was hideous, but had lots of spaces to allow for air flow. Then a friend of mine renovated his place and took out a cupboard with grille style drawers. My computer is in one of these - works marvelously - the grille is so thin and wide apart the cards are basically hanging in the air. Now in summer, I also have a household fan running in the room to keep my brain working at reasonable efficiency, but I'll probably sleep outside with the dogs instead tonight; waking up bathing in sweat every morning gets old very quickly.

Yeah, I keep doing that and I am constantly stuck at block 500.

Someone on the network is still broadcasting the wrong chain.

Are there addnodes we can apply to our tagcoin.conf to get the right chain? This info should be on the first post.

What kind: PPLNS, PPS, etc? I like your TIX pool, it ran well for me during the GPU mining.

I used addnodes for all the nodes someone listed earlier which were shown as not being incoming connections, since anyone who connected out to them rather than being connected out to by them might not have their port open. Thus I have a buch of nodes all of which presumably have their incoming port open.

As I don't have my own incoming port open here at home I only have eight connections, all outgoing thus all ones that have their incoming port open.

Nonetheless I am stuck on block 500 even though that list of nodes was given earlier in the thread as a supposed solution to being on the wrong fork...

Three months ago, 7970s were going for about R4.3k whereas 7950s were at about R3.4k. The R9 280x, which roughly corresponds to the 7970, goes for R3.8k. These prices are very reasonable compared to what Nvidias go for down here; had to import a GTX670 from the States half a year after it came out to avoid paying R6k, i.e. roughly double, for it down here.
