The problem with television now a days are outdated for what really is the technology that belongs to the people. They keep their eyes close to not see what it bitcoin is really made for, they keep their ears covered not to hear the protest against the monopoly and manipulation in our financial system. I watched this episode of The Big Bang Theory and they did a great job explaining what it bitcoin. It is good that bitcoin was endorsed in this kind of TV series which is many watchers. It is also a good idea to expose bitcoin in public not just in advertisements and announcement thru social media. Even blog videos can help but we still got negative feedback about this.

I support btc on the tv series especially btc is the main focus of the story and I had saw few times btc being mentioned in the film and there is nothing bad about btc yet, and if the movie decided to make btc into bad coin, I think its okay since people who saw it will know it just a movie and people could become curious about it

Having bitcoin on TV series has help in enlighten the public about bitcoin and its advantages in working with it, with the little time I watch it I did not hear them talking bad about bitcoin so that is  great idea.

It's good to have BTC being mentioned on TV series, it helps Bitcoin's popularity increases, even if they are making a joke about Bitcoin or something similar. TV series are watched especially by young people and they are potential Bitcoin adopters, so this "propaganda" can help a lot.

I got that, but our media is controlled by the same people who is being threatened by bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole. That’s why we can’t get the same treatment by them for the success of bitcoin is the end of them controlling the people’s money. Their biases can’t be measured because their loyalty is from the sponsors like banks that making and paying them.

I do not think that mentioning of bitcoin on TV might have bad affect.

I think it quite became mainstream very quickly but one of the first TV series to write scenario about Bitcoin was Mr. Robot, even in 2016 it was talking about how cryptocurrencies will be involved in real life.

I was surprised to hear Bitcoin being mentioned in an episode of Grey' Anatomy, as it is not the kind of show I would expect for it to come up (maybe on The Blacklist, Criminal Minds, etc.). The hospital was under a ransomware attack and the hacker was demanding a 4932 bitcoin ransom (per the episode it was around USD 20 million - I am guessing based on the date the episode was shot -, but when the episode aired on Nov. 16th BTC was at around USD 7600, so closer to USD 38 million). Granted this storyline was making reference to a string of real-life ransomware attacks on hospitals (not sure if BTC payment was requested), but I guess BTC is becoming more popular everyday.

I think a true story of one successful in bitcoin, that would explaine a lot about bitcoin. And many people will be inspired becuase of the story. If that happen many people will use bitcoin as there currency and many investors will.

Its ok for me if the bitcoin is being mentioned in the TV series and other many other tv channels networks and media partners. This is all because bitcoin is getting popular among the people and some people chase the news and they feel that they don't want to miss the opportunity of investing over there and some people feel that it is a bad news which creates rumours and affect the bitcoin price charts. And yes becasue of all this bitcoin gets misrepresented and people think bitcoin as fraud and Ponzi scheme without knowing about it.

I think when bitcoin are going to see people on a tv series this will be a knowledgable report to make viewers knowledgable about bitcoin and the good things that will benefits of using it. But in real world we only see bitcoin news in a negative way because some people use bitcoin as a way to make other people pool for their own benefits or as simple as they do scam by fronting and using bitcoin. I think this will be a advantage and will have benefits to all of us once this will be air on tv series in a good way that people understand because when people like it the use of bitcoin will be widen.

I have seen a lot. Investor being broke and would go to the media to claim that they are scammed with the investment company and they are paying with bitcoin. Somehow, this news anchor was not well at making the news clear. Bitcoin looked like the devil at that news and bitcoin users starts to get mad in their social media page.
The next week of their episode they clear it out that bitcoin is a currency.
But the damage was already done. This kind of tv series can affect on how people view bitcoin.

I see Bitcoin appearing on many television channels and be talked about in a lot of programs, but it's referred to as a negative symbol of the bubble economy. When it went up, they cheered it up as something wonderful, and when it came down, it criticized it badly.

I've been looking at bitcoin in the TV series, meaning the news about bitcoin on television is so bad for people to hate and keep bitcoins away, because the news they convey is not true about bitcoin. Given the news that says bitcoin is bad many of the people around me do not believe in bitcoin and think bitcoin is negative.

Guess you've just discovered how the media works. See, you know a lot about Bitcoin from other sources and from your own experience, that's why you realize how much they misrepresent it, but it's not only about Bitcoin, media does it practically with everything to manipulate the public opinion, that's why I don't watch TV.

I don't usually watching tv but when I saw a commercial of one of the talk show here in our country featuring bitcoin, I waited for it and watched but it's a bit disappointing. They tackled bitcoin on a bad side like it's a scam etc. Because of what media do to catch viewers Im not comfortable to get bitcoin in TV series.
