I actually don't believe in the Illuminati conspiracy theories, but I do know that Alex Jones has a HUGE audience and many of them would be very interested in the idea of Bitcoins. I decided to send the following email: Sent: Wednesday, July 06, 2011 1:43 PM To: 'infoads@infowars.com' Subject: Bitcoin Advertising
I am interested in advertising bitcoins on your website and radio show. I’m currently running the following bitcoin add on Free Talk Live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H15HyTti8vk
I am interested in doing a similar add and live read on your show as well as some links from your website.
Can you give me an idea of what something like this would cost? I’m interested in doing this because I think bitcoins are the best way to take away power from the government and banksters, and give people back control of their own money. If you don’t know what bitcoins are, please visit www.bitcoin.org
Thanks so much!2.5 weeks went by with no reply at all, so I emailed them again: Sent: Sunday, July 24, 2011 9:54 AM To: infoads@infowars.com Cc: roger@memorydealers.com Subject: RE: Bitcoin Advertising
Any chance you can get back to me on my request in regards to advertising on your show?
Thanks so much,..... original email copied below
The next day I received the following reply: From: xxxx@infowars.com [mailto:xxxx@infowars.com] On Behalf Of Advertising Sent: Tuesday, July 26, 2011 1:00 AM To: Roger Ver Subject: Re: Bitcoin Advertising
Bitcoin has not been accepted as an advertiser.
We are at the point where we are at capacity for sponsors again.
Thanks for your request.
Will
I replied right away with: From: Roger Ver [mailto:roger@memorydealers.com] Sent: Tuesday, July 26, 2011 4:33 AM To: Advertising; Ver Roger Subject: Re: Bitcoin Advertising
Is there a waiting list? Can you send me some pricing so I can have an idea of what it would cost?
To date there as been no reply. Their response (or lack of) seems very very strange to me. Any thoughts on what is going on?

Alex has some gold/silver seller who is his major sponsor, Midas Resources, which might actually be a part of his company somehow or a parent company or some how tied in with Alex beyond a simple sponsorship deal, I'm not sure. They might be holding Alex back from pushing bitcoin because they don't profit off of it beyond a simple ad deal. They would rather run ads for people to buy their gold and silver where they make more profit.
but then again there was a rumor that the Midas guy is also into bitcoins. There is this site (hXXp://midasbitcoin.blogspot.com/) that has 'Midas' in the name, but I don't know who owns that blogspot and if it really is the same company. Warning, I have no idea of the validity of that midasbitcoin blogspot site, so can't recommend buying anything there

i agree with prev poster, i dont think its a conspiracy , they are more likely selective about their advertisers and also possibly a conflict of interest. im sure they'd rather give midas the chance to start offering coins as well b4 letting in potential fly by night competition

Wonder what would be their response if you didn't mention bitcoin at all and instead initiated request as computer hardware store

The extra strange part is that I am already advertising the idea of bitcoins (Not directly selling anything) on Free Talk Live who is on the same radio network as Alex Jones and also has Midas as a sponsor, so I am not sure how that could be the problem.

Here is the only important Jones that can do anything for Bitcoin. So will the Alex Jones mentions that have taken over the Bitcoin Discussion be over in a week? I hope less.

I was the one who asked him about it and brought it up on the show last week. I personally think Alex is either being advised against embracing it or he is just not aware of it yet. But I would believe they are full for sponsors because they carefully select them. They are mostly christian zionists. (And I do separate the zionist bankers from the passionate zionists fools.

Alex could be a disinfo agent... it's hard to tell.
He's right about some things but then he goes apeshit and makes a scene.

his advertisers are local.
GCN will not advertise anything if they don't know you personally.
ted anderson decides what GCN will promote.
ted anderson is already involved with bitcoin -
though he is using an anonymous venue as not to jeopardize his company legally.
