Please make a proper scam report: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Proof of Payment:

PM/Chat Logs: will upload them from Skype at home cause I'm at phone now

Would like to see some payment proofs. Which payment method did you pay by? If he doesn't pay you the BTC, you may be able to launch a case with the payment processor to reverse the funds back into your account.

But first, let's look at what he's got to say on this. He hasn't responded yet, you may want to PM him to notify him that this scam accusation is up. He was online earlier today though. BTW, the thread that you linked to was posted in Feb, did you send him the payment in February?

It would be quite strange for an exchanger with a decent history like his to waste away his entire reputation for $115. Pretty sure I saw some bigger deals happen. But this is why escrow is always the optimal choice, you don't have to deal with situations like this where he's got the money and you've got nothing that you came for. Hopefully he has the integrity to solve this issue.

I wonder why no one ever tags this guy, he has a new scam accusation every week yet no one from the DT list ever tags him like they share in his profits.

Maybe people who open the accusations don't provide adequate proofs, just like the case above ? I have not seen any account being left out from tagging if proper proofs of the accusations have been submitted.
I don't know what you're talking about but being an avid wanderer of this section,I haven't really an accusation against him in a long time. (The previous one's were sorted out)

Because OP hasn't provided any proof at all yet.

OP, post at least:
  • The message were you agreed to deal
  • The message were you gave your BTC address to him, and your address as text so we can check it
  • Proof of the payment you sent to him

Coinman never answered me until I called paypal and they gave me my money back I recommend not to deal with him because apparently it does not have bitcoin and it's just going to make people lose their time

I doubt that he's trying to waste anyone's time but for sure he should include some proof. Just wait for him to get home, get all his proof out, and we'll see what's really going on and whether Coinman should be tagged.

Coinman never answered me until I called paypal and they gave me my money back I recommend not to deal with him because apparently it does not have bitcoin and it's just going to make people lose their time

So did you successfully charge back with your paypal transaction? Did coinman ever respond to your messages and did he specifically say that he didn't have any bitcoins?

It is suspicious that coinman has been online around 8 hours ago but haven't replied to this thread at least with his end of the story. OP, once you provide the needed proofs, then you could potentially prevent people from getting scammed in the future.

EDIT: Based on the proofs that you have uploaded it seems like Coinman was probably out of BTC for sure. Localbitcoins withdrawals rarely take more than 10 minutes to process, and they are not able to be cancelled, so if he did actually send you BTC he wouldn't be willing to refund you. So there are definitely holes in his story imo.

BTW, 22% for paypal is an extremely high amount. I'd call that a rip off for sure.

Last Friday COINMAN1 asked me to wait 3 days until he's able to properly respond because of personal issues. I've tagged him now

He's probably just trying to play for time by saying that.

I'm not sure if this is the case, but I think perhaps he was planning on exchanging your funds first without any BTC on hand. And his deal probably didn't work out in the end or something, that led to him giving you a bunch of excuses including the fake "LBC withdrawal" story that he tried to use as an excuse for the funds not arriving at your wallet.

I think that he is clearly having issues justifying his shady behaviour here in this thread, which is why he hasn't responded, even though it's been nearly a week already.

Would have been better if you could tagged him at the earliest.Considering if it was someone with dark green trust, they could use these 3 days as a buffer time to scam more members.Since the feedback can always be revised,it doesn't really make a difference. That account was involved in various shady activities in the past.Even if he replies and has substantial amount of proof he is not guilty, the feedback should stay as a warning.

Considering if it was someone with dark green trust
But that's not the case. I don't know why you even mentioned this. Do you know whom we're talking about?
His account was already red thanks to KWH so me granting a few days for him to explain didn't make any difference in that sense.

Even if he replies and has substantial amount of proof he is not guilty, the feedback should stay as a warning.
What? If he proves he's not guilty then it wouldn't make any sense to leave negative feedback as a warning :/
But everything seems to show he is indeed guilty.
